Barbie Island Princess Review

Our household all agrees that Barbie and the Island Princess is one of the best of the Barbie movies. The music is fantastic and stays with us long after the viewing. My girls enjoy the fantasy of being on an island all by themselves with only animals for friends. They love that Barbie is the only one who can understand the animals! The story is good and full of enough adventure to keep them entertained for the whole movie. When the dolphins save the elephant, they cheer!

The only part that we don't like is that my girls don't quite get why the mother (villian) wants to hurt everyone and take over the kingdom. I've watched this many times and still don't get it completely even thought she sings a song about it.

Highly recommend this movie!
