This company charges one of the highest overdraft fees They put deposit on hold for unreasonable times, example 14 day hold, and 30 day holds. Worst exprience I have ever had in a Bank

I live in Mammoth Lakes, CA and handle the majority of transactions for the company that I work for in this bank. The staff is not only unfriendly, but they verbally abuse and humliate their staff in front of the customers. Someone needs to inform the management at this branch that they work in a bank not in the back kitchen at McDonalds. Their level of professionalism is embarassing, and I will do everything in my power to make sure that everyone is well aware of this before opening accounts their. I've had accounts at Bank of America even before I had my first real job. There's never been any real reason for much complaint before...I think there were a couple times I was charged fees that I should have been, but those were easily resolved. — — I'm a college senior now, and with great effort have no debt, just one credit card that I pay in full every month. My husband and I are desperate to get out of Bank of America but continue to be frustrated by Bank of America's incompetent customer service that first wouldn't help us resolve a problem, and now won't help us close our accounts to get away from the problem. They have three times in one year charged us for fees incorrectly. Yes, the fees were eventually removed, but only after multiple phone conversations. We've tried going to the branch in-person, where at least the people are nicer, but the ridiculous system BOA has set up doesn't let live in-person bankers conduct some transactions! Now B of A debits check card purchases that are pending from you available balance. I noticed 6 separate pending charges over a period of 3 days totalling $3000 made at a department store in a state half way across the country. I called them every day for three days, first day after the first 2 charges, the second day there was 4 and finally on the third day there was 6. I pointed out each time that this was obvious fraudulent activity on my account but they refused to put me over to the fraud dept. until the third day. Bank of America offers lowest interest rates compared to other major banks (Citibank, Chase, etc.). They tend to charge heavily if your balance drops below $750 even for one day and also twice for average month's balance. The never argue with you and are very stubborn to customers. Worst customer service ever!!! None is able to help you....they keep transfering you back and forth because nobody wants to help you... — They mailed by new card to my old address even though I had done my address change..They told me I had to make an address change for my new cards as well. Abusive Bank Fees charged by Bank of America

Bank of America will hold all smaller charges and checks for up to a month, hoping to put a large one through. I joined Bank of America about 6 months ago and they have not let me down yet. They are extremly friendly when you go to a local branch and always very helpful.. They have many branch locations in which I have never been disappointed in the service their. I pay all my bills online and have never had any problems with the transactions. Since then I have had several occassions to contact them via the 800 number and the service has been exceptional.
