Bank of America  —

I've had accounts at Bank of America even before I had my first real job.  There's never been any real reason for much complaint before...I think there were a couple times I was charged fees that I should have been, but those were easily resolved.

I'm a college senior now, and with great effort have no debt, just one credit card that I pay in full every month.  Of course banks are eager to send credit card offers but I never except.  Several weeks ago I visited my local branch to deposit to my checking account and the teller told me I was pre-approved for a card, which I declined.  In fact, it was the same credit card I already have with them!  She pressed further and I said I would consider it later if they sent me information....well she had me sign a slip that she claimed was to authorize them to send me information.  I've now come to find that the slip registered me for the card I clearly declined.  I feel stupid for signing it, but the teller was right in front of her manager when making these claims so I believed her.

I talked (after a long hold and many transfers) to Bank of America about this and they were unapologetic...I can't believe they would do something like this, it can affect my credit (just before graduation when I'm really going to need the score I've worked towards).  They said they could cancel the card but that was all, and there would be no reprecussions for the fradulent teller!  After this I am reconsidering my choice of banks.

Funny that if I or any other Jo Blo out there makes a mistake or neglects to do what they are suppose to do, They get penalized. BUT if BANK OF AMERICA makes a mistake or does something that is wrong, even CRIMINAL, do THEY get penalized? HELL NO! THEY probably get a BONUS and a big laugh at their "BIG SHOT" meetings. They obviously don't have any fear for GOD, but they will pay one day and I hope to GOD that HIS voice is heard by all these EVIL people responsible for the pain, misery, and hardships they have caused.
