how do you redeem your points for travel?

I'm not impressed. I was told when I was applying that I could do a balance transfer and if my line was not high enough they would request an increase for me right then. They would not request one and this was the only purpose of opening the card, for a transfer. They were not helpful and then refused to close the card for me. I used to be a good customer of theirs but will not be returning my business to them.
