Aren't Annual Fees a bit passe?

Sometimes I'm not sure why I'm keeping this card.  They are good about increasing my credit limit when I need it, that's for sure.  But once a year I'm reminded that they have this ancient Annual Fee.  I bank with them for goodness sake, so I'm not sure why I have to pay a fee to have a credit card with them.  Still, they do offer me deals like low interest payments for the life of the debt on balance transfers (there's also a 0% option, but that's only for a limited amount of time).  Overall, I guess the plusses outweigh the minuses.
