I have been a card member for many years with Bank of America. I am pretty all all over it and very rarely have I ever been late with any payment of any type. In more than 5 years I had never made a late payment to Bank of America either. Turns out the date for my Bank of America account fell on a Sunday. I sent the payment on via the internet on the Friday before. Needless to say, they couldn't manage to post my payment that Friday or note it as pending over the weekend, but they sure could manage to generate a $15.00 late charge and a minimum finance charge.
The rude girl I spoke to on the phone refused to waive the charge, but worse than that, she wasn't nice, understanding or really wouldn't even agree with my point that a company should not allow a due date to be set on a Sunday when there is no possible way for postal or banking activites to be completed. My point was that the due date should have been set earlier, then I would not have to analyze my calander to determine a safe payment date.
Funny how they are super when you owe them, yet not so nice when you don't.
