Bank of America - Platinum Visa Review

Now a days is so easy to be in a lot of debt due to our economic situation. When the banks know that you are hurting for money, they really want to fish you in by giving you a credit card with a few months zero interest free. However you should be cautions of this practice because after your grace period is over, they really increase the interest rate sky rocket. Bank of America is one of this banks that don't really care about the customers. They don't care if they ruin your credit history/score. I have been a customer with Bank of America for about twenty years. I never have been late with payments or went over my credit limit. I moved from one state to another and I had to use my bank of america credit card. After so many years of  hard work to build a very goo credit line, they took it away from me in matter of seconds. I had a very good credit line of $42,000.00 with a balance of $11,000.00. I was paying my credit card on time or early if possible. However, I was making almost the minimum payment because I didn't have a job yet since I had recently moved. On February of this year, Bank of America decrease my credit line to $11,500.00 leaving with no creadit available and decreasing my credit FICO score because my credit report show that I was using most of the credit available when in really it was not true. I spoke to the bank of america credit department and they said: "they were sorry, but could not help me". Then in I decided to pay more in my credit card to increase my credit available, and just after I did that in May, they decrease my credit line again to $9,500.00. I just couldn't believe after so many years of being a loyal customer and paying my credit card on time, they turned their back on me. This practice should be illegal. It is funny how they advertise themself in television. They say it is a bank you could trust and count on them, but I really doubt that because if they can ruin you finantially they would without thinking about it twice. Also they make a lot of mistakes with their statement to their advantage, so you really have to look they don't steal your money.
