I have had my Alaskin Airlines signiture card for three years. i originally thought it would be a good card to have, but the interest rate is very high, even though my credit is excellent. The annual fee is the highest of any mileage card I have had. I thought the benefit of an annual airline buddy...

I LOVE THIS ALAKSAN AIRLINE BANK OF AMERICA CREDIT CARD I SIGNED UP AND GOT 20 THOUSAND MILES WITH MY FIRST PURCHASE.  THAT IS A ROUND TRIP TICKET ALMOST ANYWHERE IN THE US ALSO THEY ARE AFFILIATED WITH SAFEWAY- YOU CAN GET A CARD FROM SAFEWAY AND WRITE YOUR ALASKA AIR MILAGE PLAN # ON IT AND NOW YOUR GROCERIES WILL COUNT TOWARD YOUR MILES PLUS THE MONEY YOU SPEND.  ALASKA ALSO HAS MANY PARTNERS SO YOU CAN FLY PLACES THAT ALASKA ITSELF DOES NOT FLY.

Great card if you travel Alaska Air lots, but watch the fees...

Not a bad card if you travel a lot where Alaska Air/Horizon Air flys, but if you are travelling out of the country it is not the best card to use as they will charge you a 3% foreign transaction fee on any transactions you make in another country. These fees can definately add up if you are doing some major trips or spending lots, so you might just want to use another card when travelling outside the US.

Mileage awards are difficult to redeem. Mileage requirements seem to go up. Good luck using your companion ticket.

Great Airline and Great Bank

  I have been an Alaska Airlines customer for over 20 years. I have never had a delayed flight or a lost bag.  The combination of Alaska Air, Horizon Air and Bank of America are hard to beat.  The features on the card make it a great value to my family.  We get points for all of our purchases with the card. I give this card a 5 star review.
