Not 100 perfect.

Of course, like any other band aid, the water block bandages only last for so long. These though, I will admit, do hang on a lot longer than any other band aid. I would at a restaurant and the bandages there are sturdy and can withstand some amount of water. But for a casual little cut, I would recommend these.

good but slightly flawed

This is a product that definitely was named for the job it does. These bandages most certainly keep your injury dry. My only complaint is that once it comes time to take it off, you might want to have some Vaseline or something to help you lubricate the adhesive off of your skin. It was a bit painful trying to get this thing off. I'm no wimp, and would normally just peel it off like I was a Brazilian wax specialist, but no... these Band-Aids practically morph into your skin and become one with it. I have a reddish patch from under one side of adhesive strip, and still that ugly "stain" the adhesive leaves on your skin. Its been 3 days, and I do bathe. If you're one tough cookie and aren't using it on sensitive injuries or on thin skin, then this is the product for you. Otherwise, steer clear.

Band-Aid Water Block Stays on Tight to Help Heal

I'm not sure which I need bandages for more in my house... my kids or my husband. Seems like someone regularly has an owie that of course needs a bandage (regardless of whether it is bleeding or not.) Oftentimes the type of band-aid really doesn't matter as it won't stay on long anyway. For my husband though, we need to have something that will stay in place especially when he is washing tools or sweating outside. On the last trip to the store, we picked up the Band-Aid Brand Clear Water Block Bandages. I'm guessing it was a quick pick-up my husband did honestly. These band-aids come in a regular size (about 3" long by 1" wide) and covers most typical cuts. When you open the individual package, the clear bandage is slightly difficult to remove from the package. Once out of the package, the straps are light and easily placed on the wound. After being applied, the bandage is light and barely noticeable. And the true test is whether it stays in place. This it does, almost too well sometimes. I had used the water block bandage on a spot on my leg and afterward I had a skin burn in the shape of the bandage. I have not noticed any adverse effects with the children or my husband though.

Best Bandaid around!

Okay, so I am a hair stylist and I cut my finger occassionally.  Well, my hands are in water constantly.  So this is the best bandage for keeping my cut dry and my bandage on through thick and thin.  I need to keep the chemicals out of my cuts.  Who wants hair dye, perm solution and all that other goop that I apply all day entering my open cut.  These bandaids are the perfect solution.  Whenever I buy those cheap imitation bandages, I end up putting a new one on all day long.  These willstay put and last all day long.   And they are thin and not bulky so I can barely feel that it is on and have no trouble using my tools such as the scissors that have small finger holes. They are flexible and move along with my fingers. I have never had one fall off.  Some other bandages are so bad that I have actually lost them in my clients hair. How embarassing and gross.  And last but not least, they can be removed very easily.  No sticky residue left and no waterlogged fingers.

Band-Aid Clear Water Block Plus

I love these bandaids!  At last a bandaid that actually stays on in moist conditions.  These are great for using in on toes, ankles, the bottom of feet, fingers and hands.  Any place where dampness and/or rubbing might occur.  There adhesion is excllent and they are thick enough to provide protection for blisters in addtion to cuts, scraps and bruises.  They somewhat expensive, but the quality more than makes up for the cost.  They are flexible, making them a great choice for heel blisters or abrasion and the will not rub off like the discount store brands.  I also have problems with some of the adhesives that the off brand users use in their products and suffer from allergic reactions to the adhesive.  The Band-Aid Brand Clear Water Block Plus are super adhesive, yet gentle on my skin.  For this reason alone, I would highly recommend this band-aid.  Band-Aid Brand - a brand you can trust.

Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages are awesome

Band-Aid Bandages have been around for a long time now, and I think by far that this brand is the best. I was sceptical about using this product due to the clear sides, but after applying it to me and my kids when we needed it, they have been just great with protection. I used to work in the ER and I know about wanting to proctect yourself when being around other people and surfaces, and this product really does the job. I like how they are waterproof, especially when I have to do things around the house that requires using water like giving the kids bathes and washing dishes. They stay on for a while without having to replace them which I like because I hate to waste money on something when I just bought it and I have to get more. They are not bulky like the other ones that take two or three wraps to completey wrap my little ones fingers and they are realy hard to notice and very easy to remove.

Great once I got them on. Very thin bandages stick to themselves

3

***Quick View: ***I sliced my toe and needed a bandage that would stay on through showers and everything else. My husband picked up a box of these in size small. While they are waterproof and do stay on, they are VERY thin and hard to apply. They stick to themselves. I had to toss several due to that. It may be an issue only with the small sized ones but whatta pain! ***My Take on Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Clear Water Block Plus*** These bandages are clear as opposed to the nude color that most are. They have a small gauze patch where the wound is covered. They come in white paper sheaths. When I tried to open one, I found that Band-Aid left very little room to rip the paper open. I had to be really careful of how I opened the bandage. Next, once I got the little bandage out of the wrapper, I unpeeled the backing and the very thin clear sticky material would stick to itself and I couldn't get it unstuck. I had to toss a number of these away due to that. Having said THAT, once I did get the **Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Clear Water Block Plus** secured around my toe, they held well. I could shower and walk around without them falling off. They stuck so well that I had to cut some of the bandages off rather than try to peel them off! These bandages are flexible and thin and probably work fine in the regular size. But the little ones are just a real pain to open and apply especially around a small toe. However, they did serve their purpose well to keep water and debris out once they were secured. I think I would probably get Rite Aid Brand waterproof bandages again if I had the need. They work flawlessly and are more robust. ***My Viewpoint*** I don't have any complaints about how **Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Clear Water Block Plus** work once they are applied. They stick really well (almost too well) and they are flexible. They're thin and keep water out. But the small size are frustrating because they are SO thin that they want to curl up and stick to themselves and then they're ruined. I hate to go against the grain of opinion here but I have to go with ***3 stars ***due to how many bandages I had to toss out. However, I recommend these to you in the regular size. The small ones are tough to work with.

I use these bandages at my job. I work as a pharmacy technician in the IV room of a hospital. Our hospital provides those cheap bandages that barely hold adhesion for 5 minutes. We work in a fast-paced environment with frequent hand-washing and scrubbing-in to mix products in a clean room setting. The fast paced environment has lead to needle stick injuries. These bandages are a staple in our cupboard because the hospital-provided bandages do not stay on through a single hand-washing. We also put gloves on over them and very few come off in the gloves. The clear covering is also a nice benefit because the bandage is less noticeable. I really appreciate the small sizes available as well because the smaller bandages are less likely to curl and peel off like the larger ones seem to do. The smooth backing is also extremely flexible and feels like a second skin covering the wound. They do not impede any actions that require fine motor skills and careful manipulation. I am extremely impressed with this product.

These Band-Aid Water Block bandages really work!

4

I love these bandages! They really do block water! I love that they are clear too. I have used these on my boys and myself with great sucess.  They stay on at the pool and in the shower or if the boys are in the tub even for extended periods of time.  They keep water out very well. I did have a bit of trouble getting them on without having the sides stick to each other. That was the one drawback. They also come off a bit harder than regular bandaids but I think that is because they are made to adhere well to the skin and because they block water they create a tighter bond to the skin. My son's cut healed completely and he was unable to get to the cut to mess with it while it was healing. No changing the bandaid each and every time he got it wet. The cut was on his hand and even through frequent washings it stayed in place. I highly recommend these and just the type of product I would expect from the Johnson and Johnson company.

Unique and helpful concept

My mother in law who was an ER nurse for many years actually introduced me to these bandages a few years ago. She said they were very safe and it was the best way she had found to cover wounds on her hands and arms while still being able to scrub up as nurses frequently do.  I have found that to be the case as well and also find they offer a solution to those wounds that will hurt terribly when you take a shower. They are a must have in the summer time for the kids who are getting in and out of the pool and have injuries.  Band-Aid brand is terrific and the adhesive is always the strongest. Everyone knows that it is one of the ickiest sights to see a used Band-Aid wadded up in the shower stalls at the public pool and this curbs that problem as well. I haven't found these to be the most reasonably priced and they don't seem to go on sale often so I recommend saving them for the water protection only and reverting to the classic brown Band-Aids otherwise.
