Band-Aid Clear Adhesive Bandages - not so adhesive!

3

I don't believe this was one of Johnson and Johnson's best products. Admittedly, I like the idea behind the transparent bandage, a band-aid which is all but invisible, but in reality even if it were invisible, it doesn't stick that well. I for one found that I kept having to re-apply my transparent band-aids even if I just got a little bit sweaty from gardening or whatever. In fact I even recall removing my gardening gloves to find the band-aid neatly curled around the inside of one of the glove fingers! I also feel that a wound really needs a little air to speed up the drying and healing process and this band-aid just doesn't provide for that. The wound itself can easily stay moist because the transparent tape doesn't allow for any breathing which is not a good thing. They aren't the cheapest bandages on the supermarket shelves although I appreciate the manufacturer placing coupons in the Sunday newspapers. On the plus side, they are very, very easily removable!

Always go with the name brand.

Johnson & Johnson Band-Aid Brand self adhesive bandages are something you don't want to run out of. I have used generic brand products that look like they would work, but Band-Aid has passed the test of time. They are the only brand of self adhesive bandage I would buy or recommend. They offer the right amount of tack and last all day.

Invisible protection!

I love the new clear adhesive bandages by Band-aid! They cover up unsightly boo boos without sticking out like a sore thumb! I like to wear them if I am going out on the town and don't want my band-aids to ruin my look. They are fabulous to cover blisters from shoes or to protect your toes and feet from blisters. No one can see them and your piggies are protected! How great is that!

in some products i always prefers well known brand names - one of these products are band aids - you have to trust what you put on a wound! in our house we go through a lot of band aids - with a toddler and an husband who works in construction. we are always in need of band aids. so i am all about finding good deals on good brand products. Johnson & Johnson company has won my trust long ago. From baby toiletries to band-aids - this is the company to go for to get the quality abd not to worry about small things. When it comes to these Band - Aid Clear Adhesive Bandages there are a few things I especially like. First of all these are in neutral color that everyone in hte family can use. Second reason - they stay on very good, so there is no need to replace several times a day. I even find they stick a little to well - it is sometimes too hard to get them off - but luckily only on top of bandage itselt, it does not glue too hard on the skin. I am happy with this product and will buy it again.

hidden in plain sight

I love Bandaid clear adheisive bandages.  Often when wearing one I forget I have it on because they are practically invisible.  They hold  tight and do not advertise that I have had a mishap. There are times when I desire  to cover a wound but want it to be inconspicuous.  Bandaid clear adheisives take care of life's little boo-boo's sight unseen. They  are hidden in plain sight. Bandaid is a name brand that has been tried and trusted for  6 generations in my family. From my great grandmother who in the early 1960's used Bandaids on my skinned knees to my 3 year old grandson for whom I keep bandaids in the medicine cabinet.I get tired of being asked , "what happened"  by everyone who sees a bandaid on my arm or leg. Bandaid clear adheisive bandages work well in water and do not fall off it you sweat. I highly recommend this product to all parents of active children.  And to all who deisre a quality product that is worth the money.

These work better than cheap ones but there are better

As a mommy, I have used many different brands, sizes and styles of bandages over the years.  Of course, like many I have been preconditioned by commercials, availability, product placement on shelves, and general american society to naturally think that Band-aids are the best, I even call bandages "bandaids" without thought. As a mommy, I have realized also, that I need certain things in a bandaid.  I need it to stick.  I mean, really stick.  I need it to last through my kids splash in the pool and bathtub, roll around on the living room floor, while running in a field picking strawberries, while digging in sand on the beach, etc.  Band-aid tends to worth through all that.  I also need it to be inconspicious enough on face cuts, etc. that my kids don't look like battle warriors just because they fell while running on the playground.  This bandage promises that.  But there are a couple of things this bandage doesn't do.  The glue is not really all the way around the gauze area so dirt ends up getting underneath, which truly defeats the whole purpose of a bandage.  And for that, it ends up coming off easily, needing to be replaced often enough to not outweight the extra cost compared to cheaper brands, in other words it wastes my money.

Clearly Healed

The Band-aid lives up to their image of healing with comfort. The clear bandage does its job, while hidden by the transluscent tape.  Instead of being embarassingly obvious the bandage is almost unnoticeable.

Great for those cuts you just want to hide.

Band-aid Clear Adhesive Bandages are great for any cut or scrape you want to protect without being obvious. To be honest, however, the clear part is made of plastic and it is not as breathable or flexible as fabric or other types of bandages. They work fine for cuts on fingers or on body parts that are not constantly moving, but otherwise they tend to peel off. They do stick well to partially wet skin, and once they are on, they stick well. I am not sure if they are necessarily waterproof, but I have worn them in rainy conditions and they seemed no worse from the wear afterward. Since they do not breathe well, though, the water gets trapped underneath the bandage. if you really are worried about having a visible bandage, they do come in three different shades of skin tone. The sticky part is clear, but the pad itself is skin toned. I have not experienced any irritation while wearing them and they work fairly well.

They protect the would, but the whole band-aid isn't clear.

Band-aid brand of band-aids are, I consider, to be the best for protecting the wound.  They also hold when constantly get wet (for example: if a band-aid is on your finger, you can wash hands without it falling off after one wash.  However the clear adhesive is miss leading.  I don't like that the pad part of the band-aid can still be visibly seen.  Even if it does seem to make the band-aid appear smaller.

Love the "invisibility"

I like this bandaid.  I like that it has a clear adhesive portion.  You can add anti-bac ointment and it will still work. Easy to remove too!  Some bandages over stick - this one doesn't.  It needs to have more sizes available though.
