This is probably one of the worst products I've tried that is a sun protector and suntan lotion in one. I usually buy sunblock, but there are times when I want to get a tan without having to worry about the UV rays destroying my skin. I know SPF 4 isn't as good as SPF 15, but then this should still block out a lot of the UV rays. I calculated it blocks out about 90% of harmful UV rays. It was great at giving you a good tan, but it has a nasty formula, too slimy and greasy in my opinion. Scent This is one of the worst smelling sunblocks I have ever used. It gives you a nice tan, but it's not worth having to smell this suntan lotion all day to get one. It's a little over priced for a lotion that doesn't have that high of an SPF, and one that smells nasty. Absorption This really wasn't very absorbing, no matter how much I rubbed it in. Also, it seem to leave a slimy film on my skin after I applied it. Longevity Banana Boat Deep Tanning with Green Tea Sunscreen needs to be applied about every two hours. Effectiveness For an SPF of 4, it's a decent sunblock. I got a good tan, but I did slightly turn red. I have a beige skin tone, so in my opinion if your skin is very white, this wouldn't offer very good protection from the sun. A person with ivory skin shouldn't purchase this product. Ease of Application Doesn't go on very well, and it leaves a greasy and sticky residue.

This stuff works really well if you are looking to get a good tan. It is a great lotion that really soaks into your skin. It will not leave you feeling greasy at all. I have found that this lotion gives me a tan faster than most others. I build a base tan before I start using this because it does not protect well from burning. However, after you have a base tan, it works great to enhance it. I think this is one of the best out there and I have tried a great deal of them. I would definitely recommend trying this product. Scent The scent is great. It has a coconut rum scent to it. It smells really nice and leaves you smelling great after using it. Absorption This absorbs really nicely. It does not leave you feeling greasy like other tanning lotions. The green tea aspect is really good for your skin as well. Longevity It has a low SPF to it so I reapply frequently in sensitive areas. Effectiveness It is one of the most effective I have seen at giving you a tan. Ease of Application It is very easy to apply.

I am definitely not a fan of this product. It smells terrible. It is a potent scent that I smelled even after I showered to get all of the beach and lotion off my skin. I did not like a consistency of the lotion either. It felt kind of slimy when I put it on my skin. It did work okay. I tanned a bit more using this tanning lotion than from others I have tried. I usually use sunblock, but sometimes I want to get some color. I picked up this up when I had a coupon for Banana Boat products and I definitely will not be buying it again. Not only is it way too expensive without a coupon, I just cannot get over the smell of it. It does not matter if it was the best tanning lotion I have ever used, the smell completely turned me away. The greasy and oily feeling on my skin from this lotion definitely will be keeping me from purchasing this ever again. I would not recommend using this product.

I like to have a tan, but I also like to be smart about it and protect my skin. I generally begin to use this product near the end of the summer, after I have built up quite a base tan and don't expect to burn as much. It smells heavenly (like summer in a bottle!) It definitely seems to help deepen your tan and moisturize so you don't dry out from the sun exposure, but I like how there is still a small amount of SPF in it so that I don't feel to guilty while I am laying in the sun. It seems like the perfect balance, IF you have built up a tolerance to the sun's rays. I never use this when my skin is very pale, I use higher - powered sunscreens first. I also don't use this kind on my face, as I feel the face should always have a higher SPF applied to it. This product absorbs well and lasts a long time, even after being in the pool for a short while and/or sweating in the sun. I definitely recommend it for people who know their skin and how it reacts to sun exposure.

This is one of the products I played around with a few years ago when I still went tanning. I love it so much more than any of the oil products because it gets you tan without you feeling like a human french fry. The green tea in this really elevates this lotion to the next level, it made my skin so soft and hydrated, even after lying out for hours. Scent I love the green tea in this, the smell it adds is subtle when paired with the normal Banana Boat scent, but it actually makes it better. It's kind of a soothing smell. Absorption Because it's a lotion and not an oil it absorbs better than any of the oil based tanning products. Longevity I usually reapplied at least once half way through a tanning session to keep my skin feeling moist and soft. I don't know that this is necessary but I don't like to get that tight feeling in my skin so this helped with that. Ease of Application This is infinitely easier to put on than any oil tanning product.

Banana Boat Deep Tanning with Green Tea Sunscreen SPF 4 is a great product! I first tried this product a few summers ago and was instantly hooked. I love the way it goes on, not super greasy or oily like most sunscreens. It also smells great. I have actually used this product as regular lotion when I knew I was going to be out in the sun later so that I could still get a little sun protection but also get my daily moisturizer in as well. I do not know if it is because of the Green Tea in the lotion, but it leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth as well as hydrated. A lot of other tanning products make my skin feel dried out after laying in the sun but this lotion leaves it feeling hydrated and refreshed after. The Green Tea must be the active tanning ingredient because it really does get you that nice golden brown color that you are hoping for with a little sun protection at the same time. Another great thing about this product is that the bottle will last you a long time because the product goes a long ways when applying. I would highly recommend this product to sun lovers.
