I graduated from Ball State in summer 2006. I started as a Criminal Justice major. The head of the Criminal justice program is not a nice person, he is VERY unhelpful. However, I switched to the Accounting program and it was soooooooo much better! I was happy with the class size and quality of learning... read full review »

For the student going back for an advanced degree after an extended absence, Ball State may just have the "right stuff." Between their on-campus, distance, and internet offerings, it is easy to wrap an educational schedule around a life schedule; and unlike many on-line universities, the tuition won't break you! I was delighted to discover I actually could get a price break for those on-line courses, which made the prospects of not driving to class and fighting for a parking space that much more pleasant.

The coursework and professors in my master's program held the right amount of challenge...

Ball State University was the perfect size school for me. I was meeting new people on a weekly basis, but running into old friends on campus all the time. I enjoyed the small class sizes and the ability to reach my professors easily. I would also strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to be a teacher, the contacts and the respect that you will receive in the professional world are great!

It has great programs for aspiring teachers, architects, criminal justice majors, and business majors. Keeps up with the latest technology which is available for student use. And the recent renovations to the campus have made it beautiful! Its football team is ranked 14 in the BCS for the first time in its history! Very proud time for us alumni. And David Letterman went to school there.

Ball State University needs to have more financial programs available to graduate students in order to help them pay for classes. I just finished my masters in special education. The only programs available for graduates are loans which will cost me alot of money. Why can't they add programs to help graduates?
