I am an adult working a very menial job and was looking for an online school to help me finish getting my degree. I work full time and dont have a set schedule so going to a brick and mortar school was out of the question.I was going to my local community college online but they didnt take student loans or offer all my classes online. I went through many over the phone and web interviews and settled on Baker. I thought that Baker college would be a good fit because the credit hrs are only $190( cheap by online standards) and they were accredit. I was wrong Baker is not a good school, I did my homework as I am a serious student and did not want to waste my time, money or energy. The Interviewer lied to me and most of the staff are very lazy, it takes more then a week to get answers from them. Also the credit hours are $200 and each class is 4 credit hours. Which means that instead of needing 62 credit hours to complete your a.a.s you now need 96. That means you are spending $20000 for a two year degree. Also they are no where near convenient. You have to log on 5 days a week twice a day as policy. Online classes were made because we dont have the traditional time set aside to do regular school. I mean at a brick and mortar school you would only attend twice a week for maybe 90 mins or so. Also they start twice in the semester which means that you could lose financial aid. They also make you take a $60 online class that is a complete waste of time before you can take any other class. So if you find out the schools not right for you your already on the hook for $80 bucks(20 application fee) My advice, shop around and unless you got a lot of time and money dont go here.
