Dirt Devil Dyna Power 26.0 Vacuum
I just want to let the world know how pleased I amwith the new "Dirt Devil" vacuum I recenterly purchased. I've used and Eureka for 7 years. This vacuum was o.k. It required a bag which I had to constantly purchase, however, It also had a hose for easy reach. Well, after this vacuum broke down after 7 years I needed a fast replacement at a low cost because it was very close to the Christmas Season. I saw the "Dirt Devil" vacuum in Walmart and what immediatly attracted my attention was the bagless feature. I also remember seeing multiple t.v. advertisements about this brand. I never...

My in-laws really liked their Oreck, but when they saw how well our Dyson worked they bought one just like ours. The hoses don't get tangled or caught. If I suck up a doll shoe or a sock it's very easy to find again. I can vacuum the entire flight of steps leaving the vacuum at the bottom. It is easy to use, quick to put away, light enough I can carry it up and down stairs, and simple enough my five year old can use it.
I love that I can see how well it's working. I know how much dirt comes out of each carpet and I can keep going if more dirt is coming out. I love...

We purchased the vacuum about 1 1/2 years ago specifically because it called itself a vacuum for pets. We have a samoyed with a lot of fur. At first it worked perfectly. About a month later the bottom of the canister, the part you use to empty, broke off. We called dirt devil and the part was on back order for 12 weeks. We had to buy another sweeper to use until then. As soon as the canister arrived the roller brush melted onto the side that holds it in place. We called Dirt devil and that part is under no warranty even though we used it only about 2 1/2 months total. We bought...

This is easily the worst vacuum I have ever used. It was pretty good the first time or two I used it, but ever since then has been nothing but a heap of fustration and a waste of time. I was attracted to its farily reasonable price and the array of attachements. However, the attachements will do little good because the suction on this vacuum is so incredibly poor. I find that it does an adequate job of picking up dust and carpet fibers but if you need it to pick up sand, very small pebbles, rock salt - any debris like that, you can just forget about it. This vacuum will merely kick it back out...

This is one of Sear's pricey models. All the bells and whistles. But, I keep hauling the old Oreck out of the garage to do the hard floors and corners. It's got a cool little power head that does a great job on the furniture but even the hose is heavy. I like the light on the end of the wand, now Oreck has added that to theirs too. The metal wand end is sharp and does not push well along corner so you must always pull it along, abbreviating. The Oreck, on the other hand, is a two piece design so you've got more stuff but each it's lighter. The plastic wand slides easily back and forth along the...

I am very disappointed with this vacuum. I was sold by the "pet hair eraser" idea as I have a cat and a dog who both shed a lot. I will say that this vacuum worked great at first... but it only lasted for about 6 uses. Now it doesn't have any suction at all and it when I try to use it the dust in my house just gets distributed into the air. I have taken it completely apart, cleaned it out, and put it back together, and it still doesn't suck at all. Does any company make a vacuum that really lasts??
Hoover Plantium Linx Cordless Linx Cordless Vacuum
The Hoover Platinum Linx Cordless vacuum can cost as much as $179. If you can catch it on sale, I say get it! First of all, it looks cool. Its small and takes up very little room in your closet or pantry. AND its cordless!!! Half of the effort you spend when vacuuming is dealing with the cord. It is so nice to quickly vacuum your home, room to room and floor to floor without stopping to unplug and replug! Its also bagless, so you simply dump the dust cup when it is full. This little vac is powerful, too. Effective on rugs, pet hair, hardwood floors, tile, slate, linoleum, any...
