About Badger Sleep Balm
This balm comes in a two ounce metal tin. It's made with olive oil, castor oil, beeswax, and pure essential oils of bergamot, ginger, rosemary, lavender, and balsam fir. The scent is very relaxing and "quiet" if that makes sense. It reminds me of nighttime and sleep rather than a zippy scent like citrus that is energizing. The balm is hard and somewhat greasy. You just swipe your finger over the balm and dot or rub it on your pulse points. I like to use it on my temples, wrists, above my nose (so I can really smell it), neck, and even my lips.
It is good for my skin and actually can be used as a body balm. I have used it in a pinch on my legs and it gave them a pretty sheen and hydrated them nicely. This balm will last forever! I have had my tin for ages. I don't use it nightly but I keep it in my nightstand drawer and use it when I feel crazy and unable to calm my brain or even my lips feel dry at night. I will use it as a lip balm and get the benefits of the relaxing scent. I believe in aromatherapy and this does relax me but it doesn't really "put me to sleep". It's just a calming, natural balm that relaxes the mind.
My Viewpoint
I am quite a fan of Badger products and use several of their balms. This one is a good one. The scent is very relaxing and the balm is super versatile. The only thing about it that I don't like is that it is greasy and, if I use too much, my hair will get in it and will be greasy. I wash my hair in the morning anyway so it isn't a big deal but still, some may not like the greasiness of this product. I like this balm and will use it as I have been for as long as it lasts which looks to be forever at this rate. 4 stars!
