Products like this are very essential for the home especially in the making of breakfast in order to make it as easy and as quick as possible.This is my first time of buying any Back to Basics products and I must say I was skeptical before at first but ever since I bought it and have been using it, I have no complains so far. It has different buttons that indicates each feature of the toaster. I love its toasting evenness and the fact that it is very easy to use and set up. It is as safe as any electrical products that I have. The exterior is very easy to clean but the interiors are a little bit difficult. Sometimes I have to unscrew it at the bottom if I want to do a thorough cleaning. I think the product will be durable because it has not messed up ever since I bought it almost a year ago. I think the design is okay but I will love it the more if it is made to be more compact than this model. I will recommend it for making quick toasts, bagels, eggs and muffins.

My sister bought me this egg n' muffin toaster as a birthday gift two years ago. I was going to the fast food restaurant every morning to get an egg muffin sandwich. She thought this would be a great way to save time, money, and be a healthier option. I really like using this toaster when I am craving a breakfast sandwich. It is so easy to use and fun to watch. Toasting Evenness I have found this toasts my English muffins evenly and without little burnt tips. Safety I would recommend watching this toaster, as I would any toaster. I am always scared the egg will explode in the little cooker. Ease of Cleaning The egg tray is easy to clean just simply wipe with a wet cloth. The toaster is like any other and has a crumb catcher in the bottom. The sides are easy to wipe off once the toaster is cooled off. Design The design to include cooking the egg is quite genius in my opinion. It saves me the extra work of cleaning dirty pots and pans.

When I first saw one of these while shopping with a friend I thought it was the coolest thing ever since I'm a huge Egg McMuffin fan so when I received one as a gift I was thrilled and couldn't wait to use it! I have not purchased a drive thru breakfast sandwich since I've had this! I just pop an english muffin (or regular bread if I'm out of muffins) in the toaster, and pop my egg in the special compartment. By the time I've gotten my coffee brewed and ready everything is ready to be assembled into a sandwich! It's so simple and easy and I get a good quality breakfast at home at a fraction of the cost of a fast food sandwich. Toasting is easy and fast and very even. I've toasted bread, bagels, muffins, and corn toasters in it and everything comes out evenly browned. The egg portion works very well for cooking the egg and it always comes out perfectly every time. I usually whisk my egg with a bit of shredded cheese and sometimes a little cubed ham or crumbled bacon, and it makes a tiny little muffin sized omelet that tastes delicious and does not drip cheese! Cleanup is super easy since you just need to wipe out the egg cooker bit and you're done. Overall, while this looks like a useless novelty gift it's actually a quality toaster and a great gift for anyone who loves breakfast sandwiches!

My mom got me this baby when i first entered college. When I first looked at it, I thought it was one of those "As Seen On TV" products, and would probably end up collecting dust in the corner until I threw it out. Boy was I wrong. The Back to Basics Egg 'n' Muffin toaster does everything it was designed to do. It cooks toast very evenly, and has settings that range from light to dark. There is also a reservoir on the side to cook eggs. You get a shallow pan to cooks eggs into sunny side up, scrambled, over easy etc. It also has an attachment where you can boil up to four eggs at a time. The only trick is that you need to time your eggs and toast so they come out perfect together. Typically I would start the eggs, and halfway through toast the bread. Clean up is also a breeze. All trays lift out for easy washing. Overall this is a fantastic product. Whoever came up with this concept is a genius.

This is such a cool product. It does take a little bit to clean it, but it is definitely worth it to be able to make a whole sandwich with device. When I fist used this, I thought there was no way it would work, call me a skeptic. My Grandma got it for me as a Christmas present, so why not give it a shot. I was so impressed that the egg actually cooked and I had a sandwich in just a few minutes! Toasting Evenness Once you find the right setting that you like to toast, it does an amazing job! Safety As long as you don't have it close to an edge or too low to the ground, and don't have anything hazardous around, I don't see how it could cause any harm unless something gets jammed in the toaster. Ease of Cleaning This is a pretty easy toaster to clean! the bottom pulls out so you can get rid of the crumbs left over, which is super helpful. Design I love how this has a place to make an egg! You can make an entire sandwich with this two in one product!

I have learned that this is not your average toaster. This is awesome for young and old alike for a quick snack or meal. You can stick any size slice of bread in this toaster and get an even toasting. It works on store bought bread or buns, homemade bread, bagels, and muffins. If you can slice it you can toast it! I have not only made plain eggs but also mini omlets AND I didn't stop there. I cook meat in it without eggs too! i can make a breakfast bagel with egg, meat, and melted cheese. I have made mini burgers in this for a quick lunch! ham & cheese sandwiches on a bun for a quick lunch! It's amazing. While toasting your bread product you can cook whatever you want to add to the inside! Toasting Evenness This has every level of toasting you could want. Let's face it we don't want to toast all of our bread products the same. Some will burn and others take an extra click down on the toast button. With this toaster you don't have that problem. Pick a level and be amazed. Safety I have had no safety issues with this. With any and all appliances you have to use common sense. Do not immerse in water just wipe clean. Ease of Cleaning Ease of cleaning is a simple wipe of the cloth and empty through the bottom latch. You shouldn't just tip over and shake in the trash can the crumbs but I must confess that i have done just that and still have no problems! Durability This has moved with me several times and it has lasted longer than coffee makers and blenders! Design This fits any color scheme and the design is a slick/smooth as my car! It's not bulky. it sits on the counter top and sometimes for a change i just turn it another way and it doesn't take up much room at all. It's toaster size and fits most anywhere!

I got this as a christmas gift the year it was the hot gadget to have. We are huge fans of egg mcmuffins, so I was thrilled to receive it. I could not wait to break it out and try it, hoping that I would not be disappointed with it's performance. It is so simple to use! I love being able to cook all the foods at once. I buy the sausage patties they sell at walmart that taste just like the sausage patties you get from mcdonalds. They are precooked so they work perfectly in this machine. They brown up nicely as my egg is cooking to a perfect doneness, and my english muffin is toasting up. I put a piece of cheese on the warm muffin and stack the egg and sausage on top and it's the best egg mcmuffin you will ever have! This also makes excellence fried egg sandwhiches. Mmm. You can also make toast or bagels, bacon, canadian bacon, etc. All come out perfectly to your liking. I have even made a thin pancake in the egg cooker to use as a bread for my sausage. Came out wonderful. Clean up is a breeze, and it sits on the counter taking up no more room than a 4 slice toaster. The machine is really durable and I hope it lasts many more years to come since they no longer produce it.

I love the being able to make my own breakfast sandwich how i like it. I can use what ever bread i want and cook the egg how i want. You also know the quality of the ingredients such as the eggs. It is so easy to use. You pick your bread put it in the toaster and set the toaster setting to your desired darkness. Then put the proper amount of water in the side egg cooker using the provided measuring guide. Then you put your egg in the miniature pan provided then i forgot to mention before you have a grate that goes over the egg so you can place a small slice of meat on that and put the cover over and press the setting for that is for both toast and egg. It then toast the bread and steam cooks the egg and meat and when the toast pops up it is all done. It couldn't be any easier! Of course you can use just the toaster part on its own or just the egg side on its own. You have three function buttons: Toast, egg, or both. Toasting Evenness As with any toaster you need to practice until you find the toast setting right for you. Ease of Cleaning I guess like any toaster the crumbs can be a bit difficult to clean but do too big of a deal. Durability I have had mine for at least 8 years and still going strong!

this egg and muffin 2 slice toaster and egg poacher caught my eye and i had to give it a try. i thought maybe this wouldnt work that great but i was surprised at how well it did work. it was surprisingly easy to clean and store away. you can also fry up bacon, ham, or sausage with this thing. its like a all in one breakfast maker. you only need one item to get your whole breakfast done up right. it looks nice and doesnt take up too much room. i really do love having this in my kitchen. my husband and my eight year old also love using this. when you make eggs in this you dont have to wait very long. it cooks them pretty fast and they turn out great. just like if you took out a pan to fry them up. the toaster works great. it toasts bread, bagels, and english muffins evenly. instead of running to mcdonalds in the morning for a egg mcmuffin i can make my husband them every morning without getting out of my pajamas! i would definitly recommend this to anyone interested in giving this a try.

I bought this toaster because the thought of a quick breakfast in one device was appealing. I used the egg feature once when I first got it and was disappointed at the results. So for the next year and a half I used it only for toast. I didn't get a owners manual with my purchase so on a whim I looked online and figured the correct way to fix the eggs. It makes wonderful fluffy eggs just like the ones that you get on other breakfast sandwiches. My main complaint about this toaster is its design. After two uses the little frying pan handle broke. Also the lid for the egg maker is hard to adjust so it properly covers, hence water runs out sometimes when it boils. Overall, it's a wonderful product and I will purchase another one when mine ceases to work. Toasting Evenness Standard toasting. Safety The water that sometimes runs out when cooking the egg can be a concern. Ease of Cleaning Typical toaster cleaning. Pull out the bottom tray, dust it off, put it back in. Durability It lasts a long time but the handle on the pan broke. It's still useable that's why it's Satisfactory. Design It's made of hard plastic material and some of it metal. Would love to see an all metal one.
