I absolutely love this thing! My brother gave it to me eight years ago and I thought it was stupid at first until I made my first cup of hot cocoa. It was so smooth and perfectly heated. People always think I'm silly when I say I have a hot cocoa maker until they try it. I love being able to come home out of the cold and pour in some water and powder then turn it on while I go about my things. Its even better when you need more than one cup made at a time. The appliance is small and doesn't take up much space on a shelf. The cord winds up nicely underneath it to make it even more compact. It is easy to clean and use again and again. It has a simple design that has two options of buttons to choose as well as a pour spout. This is one appliance that I won't give up. It makes life simpler and convenient. The price is reasonable for the product that you get and doesn't leave you regretting your purchase.

I purchased the Cocoa Latte as an upgrade from a similar one I used constantly during the colder winter months. Like my older model, the Cocoa Latte heats and mixes hot chocolate to perfection... but this one has the added bonus of a spout to dispense the warm beverage while continuing to heat and mix.    Some may think that having an appliance that does such a simple task is extravagant, but I will never go back to making hot cocoa the old way. With the Cocoa Latte, just add the milk, the cocoa, whatever other ingredients (I like adding some cayenne** **pepper to cut through the sweetness)... then turn it on and go do something else for a few minutes. Before you even make it to the main menu of that movie you're watching your hot cocoa will be ready to serve. Dispense through the spout into each cup... or if the darned DVD has auto play and the movie started without you, just lift it off its base and pour it into each mug. This machine does exactly what it was built to do... and after a couple of years it still works great. The only possible complaint would be the amount of time it takes to heat the cocoa; it takes quite a few minutes for larger amounts. Oh, another thing, make sure the spout is closed before you pour in your milk. Not that I ever made such a mistake... next up I will be reviewing Bounty paper towels ;)

This little machine is wonderful. Everyone in my family is a big fan of hot chocolate. Before the Cocoa Lattee, we each took turns warming up our mugs in the microwave. (If we were feeling really ambitious we would actually get out a big pan and warm the water on the stove. But the Cocoa Lattee machine has definitely changed our way of thinking. Now we just set it out on the cupboard, add water and the mix, turn it on, and wah-lah. Cocoa for everyone. Very easy to make and when you turn on the "despense" setting to pour the chocolate it makes a kind of frothy foam on top just like restaurants. The only downside to this machine is that it is not dish-washer save and has to be hand washed. But the pros definitely outweigh the one con on this little machine.

I love my Back to Basics Cocoa Lattee Hot Drink Maker! It is a great kitchen appliance to have in the winter time when it's cold outside. It's especially fun to use after spending time outside in the snow. I love how easy and convenient it is to use. The appliance does a great job at mixing up drinks and getting them to the perfect warm/hot temperature. I love the frothing feature the appliance offers. I think that that the Cocoa Lattee machine is the perfect size. It makes 2-4 good size servings of hot beverages. After use, the Back to Basics Cocoa Lattee drink maker is easy to clean. It isn't dishwasher safe, but it isn't difficult to hand-wash. I love the look of the appliance, and it fits well with my kitchen decor.

We have used this several times this winter and have thoroughly enjoyed it.  My wife loves hot chocolate so for us it was a "must" have.  It makes great hot chocolate without all of the effort of heating it on the stove.  If you're as picky as my wife, then the microwave just doesn't cut it because it tastes different. Cleaning has been very easy.  The nozzle unscrews and the lid comes off.  The container removes from the base so you don't have to worry about ruining the electric system.  The only thing you have to use is poor in the right amount of chocolate and water, then turn it on.  It heats up until it is hot and then automatically stops.  It will kick back on if it cools down which is neat if you go outside or don't drink it all at once.  The hardest thing for me to remember is to turn it off after we've emptied the container.  I quickly remember when it turns back on and there isn't any cocoa left.

My family will NEVER go back to making hot chocolate in the microwave the old fashion way.  We just recently found out about this product through word of mouth and purchased one for our family for christmas.  We use it EVERY night.  Yes we are big hot chocolate fans at our house.  It is so easy to use you! You just put milk/water in with the chocolate of choice and turn it on it heats it up to the perfect temperature, and even has a froth dispenser making it come out with the most delicious froth on top.  Another thing I love about this is...you know when you heat your hot chocolate up in the microwave...you drink it, and you put it in your sink to wash it has a ring around the top and their is chocolate left in the bottom of your cup.  Well this little cocoa maker mixes up your hot chocolate so well that you have no "rings" around your cup after you have drank your cup of hot cocoa...you don't even have to scrub the cup out at all.  Yes I am the one that washes the dishes so of course I would notice this and like this particular pro :)  I promise you wont be disapointed with a Cocoa Lattee Maker!

I love hot cocoa. I am self-proclaimed chocoholic. I look forward to cold weather every year so I can drink cocoa. I received this as a gift last Christmas and thought it was kind of silly. Who needs a whole seperate machine to make cocoa? BUT... the first time I used it, i was sold. You just measure out the ingredients and turn it on. The machine mixes, heats, and froths the cocoa to perfection. So simple and easy. The machine come with a recipe book and I love trying new recipes out of it. I still prefer regular old basic cocoa with lots of mini marshmallows. A few things to consider with this machine. 1. You must hand wash, it cannot go into the dishwasher. 2. For me, it has been very difficult to clean. There is always stuff on the bottom of the pitcher that is hard to remove. I have to use a baby bottle brush to get all of the sugary/chocolately sediment off. Once I figured out the best way to get it clean, I truly love this thing!

I seem to have an obsession with hot drinks.  I usually have one everyday in the colder months.  Except for coffee or tea... but I just about love anything else.  You can only imagine my excitment when I received the Back to Basics Cocoa Latte Hot Drink Maker as a Christmas gift from my sister.  The first batch I made was mint hot chocolate and it was good.  Don't get me wrong, I do LOVE this machine.  But I think I was expecting some huge drastic difference in my hot cocoa.  To tell you the truth, I think it was the frothing performance.  When I heard there was a froth button, I imagined a lot of froth.  But really, there isn't very much.  It is still super fun though and plan on using it daily.  It has been fun to think of different combinations to put in the hot cocoa.  We like Hershey's Hugs and Hershey's Candycane Kisses...topped with whipped cream, of course!  My 1 1/2 year old guzzles the drink so fast it's unbelievable!

Originally, I borrowed this appliance for my sister, because who needs a one-trick pony like a hot cocoa maker? I do, evidently! If you make hot cocoa more than once a year, I think this appliance is worth it. First of all, once I got it home I thought she had forgotten to give me the cord because it was not attached to the back of the unit. But it has a better home: it is attached to the bottom of the appliance, and there is space to wind it around and keep it tucked away for storage. I was having a party, and I was able to put the ingredients (no stirring required) in the pitcher, turn it on, and let it be -- it mixed the cocoa, and then kept it warm until I turned it off. Guests could help themselves to as little or as much cocoa as they wanted. I actually got about five cups out of it, but I know some people are concerned that it is not a larger capacity. If I had needed more, it would have been very easy to put the ingredients in again, and drinks would be ready in no time! The pitcher is really all you need to clean, and it is easy to do. I put out some peppermint schnapps (for the adults), whipped cream and marshmallows so everyone could customize their own drink. It was a big hit! I am going to keep this little gem until my sister asks for it back, and then I guess I will have to buy my own!

This is a great drink if you like fresh hot chocolate or frothy warm coffee drinks!!!  You can use powder, liquid or speciality sauced to flavors the milk and make great hot chocolate or coffees.  Also it mixes the ingrediants up very well.  You do get a little accumulation at the bottom since it heats it and the chocolate stricks but very easy to clean.  Wipes right off.  You can also make any kind of hot coffee drink in it.  Lattes are the best.  It warms them to a great temperature.  not too hot but warm enough!  The manaul comes with a few recipes or you can make up your own.  We love this machine. It is small and does not take up a lot of space.  It is very easy to pour from the spout.  No problems with leaking from the spout.  The cord wraps under the machine when not in use so not to have the messy cord sticking out which is a nice feature.  Also very easy to clean!  I would highly recommend this.
