I bought one for my SIL after my neice was born from a different website. She loved it because I got the ribbon and colors to match the nursey and it's a novel presentation of a much-needed item. They are very expensive, though...

Diaper cakes are always great to give. My wife and I made one for my co-worker before she went on maternity leave and I was shocked to learn that out of all the presents she received, I was the only one to give her a diaper cake. Go figure!

They mean more if you make it yourself.

We have made one in the past... its better to make them yourself versus purchasing them. It means more and could cost less. :)

What in the HECK is a diaper cake?  My first thought....oh never mind.  I'll go look it up.

I used only cloth diapers on my son and hung them outside to dry on a clothesline.  His grandma bought him a bag of pampers one time, and I think they are still at her house.  My son is 28 LOL.
