When I had one child I always just carried them around. Then I had another child close in age and couldn't hold one child's hand and carry the other. Use a stroller, you say? Yes, I could do that but I prefer to keep my baby close by me. My babies always escape from buggies or cry mercilessly. This wrap was my first attempt at baby wearing and im glad that it was! I love this wrap! It is extremely easy to use and even comes with a DVD telling you how to use it properly. There are various ways to wear your baby and it can even be used on toddlers. I have carried my 4 month old in this and I have also carried my 2 year old in this. It just varies on the carry.
