Perfect alternative to an umbrella stroller!

4

We love the stroller so much more than a regular umbrella stroller. It ahve 2 cup holders for a parent, and a tray with a cup holder for baby. The basket on the bottom is a must! It is big enough to hold everything we need for a day out. The stroller pushes very easily, and the handle is higher than most umbrella strollers. There is a sunshade that provides plenty of shade for baby. It is not moveable (you can't flip it any other way) but that is fine by us. Our kids what to be able to see what is going on. For the cost, you cannot beat this stoller! Design The only complaint that I have about the design in the pull string to adjust. It an be hard to move at times, but it does the job. You do have to make sure that the string it let all of the way out if you want the stroller to fold as flat as possible. Safety There is no 5 point harnes system, but you wouldn't have that with an umbrella stroller. This is perfect for an older infant or a toddler. Child Comfort My son and daughter both love riding in this! Maneuverability It moves like a dream on solid surfaces. If you are using it on unpaved surfaces, it is harder to move. Durability We have had this for almost 2yrs and it is still in great shape. It will carry my 40lb son, and my 20lb daughter.

Great stroller for on the go!

4

We bought our Babytrend standard stroller used on Craigslist, and have sucessfully used to for the past two years! It is getting pretty worn out, has been to about 20 states, 2 countries, and on numerous airplane rides through the many different terminals! It handles amazingly well! I was a little concerned about other reviews where folks were having problems with the wheels falling off, but we never had that problem. I love the little storage basket underneath the seat, it's very handy and we can actually put a whole lot more than the recommeded five pounds in it! It's very handy for travelling and throwing the diaper bag in. The only down side to this stroller is the fact that it is still kind of large when folded up. We have a large SUV so it fits fine in our back end, but it might have trouble fitting in a smaller car. Another good thing is that my husband and I are both tall and it is comfortable for us to push and not trip on.

Okay stroller on a budget

3

When my son was about 6 months old, I decided to go from the large stroller that came with his travel system, to something smaller and lightweight. I wasn't sure if I would like this or not, but I picked it up at a bargain price. It was okay, but we go to places that need a more strudy stroller. The wheels are pretty small and wore down pretty quickly. The sun shade part folds back to "retract" it, but it doesn't allow repositioning to block sun that may be shining in the baby's face. I am also not a fan of the pull string reclining feature. I find it to be difficult to use both for laying the seat down and getting it back up into position. The basket was a decent size and could fit the diaper bag at least. The good things about it is the size and weight when it is collapsed. We used it for a short period of time and then sold it, as it didn't quite suit our needs for what we do that requires a stroller. I would recommend it for those on a budget that don't do much outdoor walking. It is more for indoor use- like a mall or something of the sort.

Very Lightweight

4

This is a very lightweight simple stroller. It is very easy to push and has a good sized basket underneith to hold diaper bags, purses, things you buy. I got this stoller for my oldest child because it took up less space then the big stroller system that he had. I still use it today for my youngest. It is very compact and easy to fold, My only problem was the buckles were not very sturdy since they broke about 6 months after I got the stroller. I still use it and I do have problems with my kids climbing out but as I said the buckles broke. I think it is a great stroller if you are in need of a lightweight stroller and don't want the umbrella strollers because they don't have a basket. It folds using only one hand and it even has a clasp to keep it in the fold position. It is not very expensive, they go on sale alot and if you shop at babies r us they even have 15% off coupons. I was thinking of getting another one to replace the one with that I have.

Convenient and durable stroller

3

The baby trend standard stroller has served our family well. We have 2 toddlers, and they really like to ride in this one.  It is simple and not as bulky as many strollers on the market.  The basket underneath the seat has plenty of storage space - I can fit our diaper bag into it easily. The wheels are sturdy, and the stroller is easy to push.  This stroller is very easy to clean. It can be difficult to fold down - i wish it folded inward instead of back for storage. Sometimes the seat belt buckle can be difficult to use, and our children have been pinched a few times when trying to snap it closed. The other complaint we have is the seat itself.  It doesn't have a wide enough range of seating -  it doesn't sit completely upright for a curious toddler, and it doesn't lie all the way back to accomodate a sleeping child.  The removable tray is a great feature, as is the parent tray at the handle. Overall we have been very pleased with this stroller and continue to use it for both children as needed.

The Baby Trend 1520 is amazingly lightweight.

I started out looking for a lighter weight stroller when my son was about 10 months old.  His big Graco travel system was just too much to carry around everywhere and took up all the room in my trunk.  On a recommendation from a friend, I took a look at the Baby Trend 1520 Standard stroller.  I couldn't believe how lightweight it was.  My son couldn't walk yet, so the fact that you could just fold it with one hand was a lifesaver for us.  It has a big enough basket underneath to do some shopping, which is not something you find in most lightweight strollers.  A really nice parent tray is along the top by the handle.  It has two cupholders and a little tray in the middle to use for keys or a cellphone.  The Baby Trend rolls great and never really got stuck anywhere.  It's very compact and I could fit it up on it's side in my trunk AND do grocery shopping.  The front has a little snack and drink tray for kids.  So handy, when your little one is hungry.  All in all, this was a great stroller, that outlasted my need for it.  I hope the person I sold it to is enjoying it as much as I did.
