Baby Planet 101202-TC Standard Stroller —

I purchased this stroller to take with me to Disney with my two children ages 2 and 4.  I bought the Baby Planet Unity double because of the weight limit and the under seat storage.  The stroller has many problems mainly that it is hard to push, the storage is not that great, folding and unfolding it are hard to do, sun shades come off, and the cost is not on the cheap side.

Pushing the stroller is hard because the handle is centered in the center so you have to hold you hands close together and pull with one hand while you push with the other to turn the stroller.  It has a wide turn radius making it hard to push through tight areas such as stores.  The weight limit on the stroller is 130 lbs with the combined weight of my children and necessary stuff we total around 100 lbs well below the limit, but still seems like I am fighting a battle.  I have very sour arms after a day out with the children.

The  stroller has 2 separate storage areas under it.  One under each seat.  The main problem is the cross bar for the stroller goes in the middle of each area cutting your space in half.  My Coach diaper bag will not fit under either seat. You can not access the storage area at all when the seats are reclined.

It takes 2 people to unfold the stroller or one very coordinated strong person.  To open the stroller you have to pull two tabs one on each side of the stroller and at the same time push the wheels in the opposite direction that you are pulling the tabs.  After you some how manage that you have two foot levers that you have to push down on that can not be done with sandals on or you pinch your feet in the crossbars on the back.

The Baby Planet has two wonderful sun shades on it, but take work to use.  You have to take them off every-time you want to fold the stroller or they make closing the stroller hard and they come off of the stroller when you do.  We broke one of the sunshades the first time we closed the stroller.  We called the company and they told us that the sunshades have to be removed before you can close the stroller.

The stroller cost around $300 which is not cheap for a stroller, but also not one of the most expensive.  I expected a better designed stroller for the money I spent on it.

When folded the stroller is quite heavy compared to other strollers that did not bother me but the stroller is to large when folded to fit in the back of the min-van with out laying down the seats.

There are some good features to the stroller.  Both seats fully recline.  The seats are comfortable for the children to sit in.  The handle is taller than most strollers as my husband is 6'7" and I am 6'0" that is important.  The center wheel is moved so you can take longer strides.  There are 2 detachable adult cup holders.  The stroller is 100% recyclable, the company will do this for free if it can not be cleaned up and donated to a woman's shelter.

All in all I would not buy the stroller again unless it was used for smaller and younger children.
