Huggies Pull Ups with Learning Designs Training Pants

Huggies Pull Ups with Learning Designs Training Pants
Potty Training, Yikes!

NOV

2009
We started training our 2 yeard old and used the "underware" method. We went out and bought some super hero underware which worked great at home but if we were going to be away from hom we had to find a better solution. Huggies Pull ups are great the side elastic is great you can detach it for the messest of messes. Our son loves the car design they have now and we make it into a game with the learnign designs. We tell him if he can keep the Cars there he will get a prize. He does pretty good but of course still has his accidents. The only down side to the pull-ups is that when he does have an... review »

Mylicon Infants' Gas Relief Drops - Dye Free

Mylicon Infants' Gas Relief Drops - Dye Free
Willing to pay for quality, a mom

NOV

2009

My son had lots of gas when he was an infant and nothing relived him.  We tried regulr formula, soy based formula and finally were successful with the pre digested formula (Similac Alimntum Advance).  A GI specialist also prescribed my son Zantac. While I was not comfr=ortable giving my son Zantac, my pediatrician did recomment mylicon very highly,  I tried it and it was great.  We used to joke around and call it his appetizer (because the doctor strongly recommended that we give it to him before his formula).  There are definitely some cons about Infan't Mylicon.  If you have a very gassy...

Kalencom Potette Plus 2-in-1

Kalencom Potette Plus 2-in-1
mom to a toddler, busy mom, loving this product, practical

This potty seat has been a lifesaver.

- It's so easy to transport, though we usually keep it in our van.

- It's easy to clean, so your child always has a sanitary place to potty when you aren't at home.

- The absorbent pad in the bottom of the liner bag does a wonderful job of absorbing the urine.

- It works really well as a potty seat on household toilets.  It's not the best on public toilets because it doesn't fit well on their oblong shape.  It slides a little bit as a result, which freaks my son out when he sits on it.

The primary downside is that the replacement bags are expensive. ...

Munchkin Steam Guard Microwave Sterilizer

Munchkin Steam Guard Microwave Sterilizer

NOV

The munchkin steam guard microwave sterilizer is just awesome!  It works every bit as well as the more expensive sterilizers, it's just a whole lot easier on your budget.  It's very easy to use.  It even fits into my smaller microwave.  Any type of baby bottle and parts will fit into this sterilizer easily.  I have cleaned multiple brands in it, since my little one this time around was very picky and it took awhile to find a bottle she would take.  I have put avents, playtex ventaires, mam, gerber, medula, and even the cheap dollar store bottles in it and they all came out great, sterilized...

Mylicon Infants' Gas Relief Drops - Dye Free

Mylicon Infants' Gas Relief Drops - Dye Free

If you are concerned with dye allergies and gas relief, this is perfect. I prefer to use dye free products with my infant who seems to have chronic gas since she started solid foods, and also before we changed her formula to lactose-free. She sometimes wakes in the night and I give her these drops. At 10 months, she knows the taste and that it is going to make her tummy better. Off to sleep she goes, and...well, her relief is apparent. ;-)

OK...well I am going through a rough potty training stage right now! My 2 1/2 year old daughter is sooo darn stubborn that I feel like pulling out my hair! I swore I would never use pull ups but here I am using pull ups for abour 6 mos now!

My oldest daughter was trained within 2 days...I thought this wouldbe the same!!! Boy was I wrong!

Pull ups do have some great incentives!!! My daughter LOVES that there are princesses on her pull ups! She likes to chose which ones she will put on! She also likes that she can put them on herself....as a 2 year old loves to do! I happen to love that the sides...

Seventh Generation Seventh Generation Baby Wipes

Seventh Generation Seventh Generation Baby Wipes

NOV

I have used Seventh Generation baby wipes for all sorts of things, not just wiping babies :)  I like to keep them on hand in the car for quick clean ups/freshening up hands or face and sanitizing grocery baskets or cart handles.

I think that we shouldn't use strange chemicals on our skin, let alone on a newborn baby's skin.  I have done a lot of diaper changing in my life and I've never had any issues with teh wipes irritating any baby's skin.  I often prefer to make my own wipes with organic/hypoallergenic baby soap and water, but the Seventh Generation wipes are really handy if I haven't...

Pampers Baby Wipes, Aloe Unscented, Tub - 77 Each

Pampers Baby Wipes, Aloe Unscented, Tub - 77 Each
Practical, budget conscious, a bargain hunter

NOV

2009

I have tried practically every different type of baby wipes and the Pampers tub is my favorite.  My daughter is fortunately tolerant of many different brands of wipes, but I like the unsented wipes with aloe because it's good for her sensitive skin.  Also, this tub has 77 wipes (Huggies has 72) and with coupons I can find for Pampers combined with sales, I can get them for a good price - and at the rate I go through wipes I need to find the best deals!  What I love is the actual engineering of the tub.   Each wipe comes out very easily and one at a time.  The next exposed wipes stays moist...

This product got such good reviews. I don't like it at all. I can not stand the smell and it stained my baby's clothes and cloth diaper liners an ugly brown. I will be glad when the tube is finished and I can go back to Balmex.

Huggies Natural Care Baby Wipes

Huggies Natural Care Baby Wipes

NOV

Huggies Natural Care Baby wipes are the best wipes out there in my opinion. They are priced at a reasonable and affordable price and you can find them in any store. You also get more wipes in the refill packs and boxes in the Huggies Natural Care Wipes than any other Huggies wipes. They are the perfect thickness for my daughter compared to other brands I have tried. They stay moist and don't dry out quickly. These wipes are the best for and kind of mess. Not just diapers messes but others as well. For example, food messes, beverage messes and cleaning faces and hands. You definitely get you money's...

Nobody wants a leaky diaper... I know I don't! That is why I was a bit worried about trying a product that wan't name brand, but the Babies/Toys R Us brand diapers "Especially for Baby" are great! They are just as good as name brand diapers and usually cost much less!

Lansinoh Clean & Condition Cloths

Lansinoh Clean & Condition Cloths

NOV

2009

I love the Lansinoh clean and condition cloths and I tell every new mom I meet about them. I really loved these when my daughter was a baby because she had very sensitive skin and couldn't use some of the other wipes on the market without getting diper rash. She never got diaper rash when I was using these wipes. They are a little more expensive then other wipes on the market, but they are worth it. They are not cold and wet like others and the material is soft like a cloth verses a wipe. Also, I felt like they picked up more than other wipes. They also feel great on your hands and don't leave...

Medela Harmony Breast Pump

Medela Harmony Breast Pump
pro-breastfeeding, a busy person, married, a bargain hunter

NOV

2009
With my first child I bought a Medela Pump In Style. Which is an Electric double breastpump. It worked good but took alot of time to get set up and cleaned when finished. Then with my second child I bought the Harmony. I was very suprised at the ease of the product and the short time it took to pump a session. The way it is designed does not hurt your hand after pumping for a while. It just takes a second to assemble and clean. I would highly recommend this product to anyone!
