I tred many types of formula when my baby was still a newborn, he had a lot of issues with gas and spitup. All the others that I tried did not seem to help the situation. My son is very healthy and active. At his doctor's appointments his doctor has commented on how healthy he is, he gains weight properly and has always been right about midline in how much formula he drinks. As he has gotten older he no longer has any issues with gas or spit up but I still choose to use this formula since it has been great for us so far. I know also that this is the same formula my mother had me and my siblings...

When my daughter was born, I breastfed but then when I started to feed her formula I had terrible problems. She was spitting up and you could tell she hurt when it would come up (symptoms of Acid Reflux). I had no idea what to do so the Dr. prescribed her Zantac which seemed to help only about 50% of the time. I tried thickening formulas, I tried comfort proteins, and I didn't care what I had to pay,but none of them were helping her. She was fussy, and every meal came up. I had read about Soy and called my daughters Pediatrician and asked them if they thought it was okay to try. They gave the go... review »

I tried many products when I found out my daughter was lactose. Soy based formulas are very pricey, and often don't mix very well leaving a lot of bubbles. Lots of bubbles equal very unhappy babies. So a friend of mine suggested Parents Choice, becuase it had less bubbles when you mixed it up, also it was about half the price. Because of my financial situation money has always been tight, and with the economy the way it is everyone should learn to shop smart. I am very careful what I buy espesially when it comes to my daughter I only want her to have the best. After the first purchase I was sold...

I am not egzactly a mother but I do find that my little cousin(who I babysit 4 days a week) likes the Similac. He has gas and those sorts of thing and he gets the Similac for sensative tummies and for gas. I find that when he was younger maybe about 3 1/2 months old that the formula wanst working for him and he was still having problems and the formula wasnt helping his sensative stomach. He was a very fussy baby when I first started babysitting him wich was about 2 months old and maybe I thouhgt it was because he was missing his mother but it was further than that, other than the formula not helping...

Similac Soy

I am a nanny for a family with preemie twins, one girl and one boy. When I began with the family, the boy was fussy and they thought possible colic. I mentioned when I was young, I was raised on soy and my mother lived by it. Neither myself nor my brother had any degestive issues. The family tried this product and it did wonders for the boy and soon they switched their little girl. This product helped with constipation, spitting up and the fussiness. He began to sleep through the night wthout discomfort.

Carnation Good Start

Carnation Good Start
Willing to pay for quality

NOV

Hello my name is Chastity and I was offer Carnation Good Start when my son was a baby from the program called WIC (Women, Infant and Children).  They were under a new contract that they were giving away the Carnation Good Start instead of the Enfamil that I was used too.  I got to admit that I sort of freaked out about it.  First I didn't know any thing about them.  Secondly, it was a little nerve wrecking that I could not chose the baby formula that I was used to.  So I refused it and started buying my sons milk on my own.  Since I was in college at the time this became too hard to do. ...

My son was originally started on soy formula after not gaining enough weight from breastfeeding. He ended up having problems with the soy and we were told to try Similac Sensitive. He has done well on it. He spits up every formula, including those with the added rice cereal. He spits up this one the least and it doesn't bother his tummy.

We do use gas drops because the powder is very foamy when mixed. The liquid form is just too expensive and needs to be refridgerated. I find the powder to be the best option for our family. While a store brand may be cheaper, we are able to buy this formula with...
