I used Similac Advance Baby formula from the time my daughter was 6 months old-12 months old.  I breast fed her until she was 6 months old, which is definitely the best thing for a baby, however when work and life get in the way of being ablet o breastfeed, I beleive Similac Advance is the next best thing.  My daughter transitioned really well from breast milk to Similac Advance.  She has always had issues with spitting up, but things definitely didn't get any worse when we started her on the Similac Advance.  It is very easy to mix, and you can buy bottles of the pre-mixed formula, that you...

I had decided touse this formula while at the hospital after delivering my daughter. Originally she was on the regular formula but after a few trips to the er and late night calls to the doctor ( not to metnion stain clothing including hers).....we were introduced to the soy based formula. And oh wow what a difference...almost right away the throwing up stopped, she was less fussy because she was less gasy and what was even better what it wasnt a cost diference which i was afraid of, we frequently used the formula in both powder and liquid form wich made it convienient, you could either measure...

My son was a colicky baby.  Originally he was put on Similac Advance.  His first periatrician did not want to switch his formula.  He had so much gas we decided to take him to another doctor who then switched him to Isomil and in turn also switched him from the Isomil to Similac Alimentum.  This was great.  Immediately we saw a difference in my son.  There was less crying, less swpitting up and less need for infants mylicon and less need for the antac they put him on as a newborn (which I was not comfortable with anyway).  Similac Alimentum, while expensive, does what it is intended to do...

I HATE the new packaging of the Similac. It is so difficult to open the container. I hate the shape, it is a huge mistake.

I am a proud mom of two boys. I wish I had tried Parent's Choice with my first son! Oh, the money I could have saved... I love this brand and so does my 9 month old. For some unknown reason, this is the only kind he can drink without getting sick. He did well for a while with Similac Advance, but when I was shopping once I compared Similac Advance to Parent's Choice Immune Support and discovered that they are nutritionally identical. In fact, PC has more of some key nutrients than it's biggest competitors. Plus, the price and overall value are unbeatable. I pay $12.88 per large canister. That's...

As a new Mom all I wanted to do was breastfeed.  I went to classes, read all the books and bought all the supplies I would need to do it "right".  Unfortunately my son had others plans when he came into the world 1 week late and required a 10 day stay in the NICU.  My breastfeeding was put on standby and luckily the nurses in the NICU were able to feed him Similac Isomil Soy Formula when I was unable to feed him in the NICU.  This formula was amazing.  They tried him on another type of formula first, but switched him to Soy because it is better for babies with fussiness and gas.  My sons...

As a mother of two children, one two and one two weeks old, I know now nestle good start is not the right formula for babies with gas. Both of my sons had trouble with this formula from day one. I do not know what is different but enfamil gentle ease is a much better choice. As soon as i gave both my sons this formula the gas was gone almost instantaneously. I don't know if its the ingredients in nestle good start or what, but my sons have not had any fussiness or fussiness since the change in the formulas. They were both very healthy babies also. No reflux, no colic. Just lots of up all nights...

I have young children and used formula with all three of them.  Two of them could not drink the dairy based formula.  I tried Good Start, Enfamil and other brands, but Similacs Isomil is what worked best for both of my babies that could not drink the dairy formula.  The packaging is great for the larger containers.  It has a place in the lid where it keeps the scoop so you don't have to dig around for it. The lid also opens like a trunk so less can spill out. I wish it was sold in larger quantities in more varieties of stores.  It can be expensive, but I wait till it goes on sale for $19.99...

When my son was born I wasn't able to breastfeed so we started him on formula and has A LOT of issued with him spitting up and acid reflux. He'd get horrible pains and after trying many different formula's - the one we stuck with was the Similac Isomil (It's a soy-based formula)  It almost completely fixed his acid reflux.  Then when my daughter was born 17 months later - she started having the same issues.  I switched back to the Similac Isomil and again - one happy baby.  There were times I tried switching to something on sale or changing it up a bit but it was always a big mistake. ...

Similac Advance Early Shield

I have three children.  For all three, I have chose to give them Similac Infant Formula.  It used to be a bit more costy but we still used it no matter what.  My first born was a premie and I was too immature to breast feed her.  I needed something I felt would be sufficient enough for her and give her all the necessary nutrients for proper growth so I turned to Similac.  She only had good experiences with it.  Not gassy, fussy, spitty or anything.  She has since grown to be a bright and strong young girl.  So as you can imagine, when I had my second child, we chose the same brand for her. ...

After three months of nursing my daughter I got an infection in my breast and had to use formula.  I was very upset to switch to formula because I thought it would be horrible for my daughter.  It took five different formulas before she finally decided on Similac Sensitive.  Wow- it has been great and completely positive.  My daughter tolerates it well.  The only negative is that it trends to get very foamy when I mix it.  Considering this is a formula for fusiness and gas I would think it should not foam so easily.  My daughter does spit up occassionally, but I think it is just from a...

As hard as I tried to breastfeed as long as I could, I started to dry up for some reason right around when my oldest daughter turned 4 months old.  We qualified for WIC at the time and were given Similac Advanced Early Shield at the time.  I could not have been happier with the results.  My daughter had no problems with this formula and there were no problems with the transition.  We were able to easily supplement with the Similac Advanced Early Shield until I completed dried up and she continued to thrive once completely on this formula.  I have heard of so many parents having problems with...

Target Milk Based Powder Infant Formula

Target Milk Based Powder Infant Formula

For the first 6 months of my son's life I either nursed or used Enfamil, because that is what the hospital and the pediatrician told us to use.

I feel that I really didn't know any better. We got Enfamil coupons in the mail all the time and we would also get free samples.

I started to hear a lot of people were using the Target brand formula and have not had any problems with it. I did some research on it and found that it was half the price of Enfamil. It had the exact same ingredients. But for $12.99 vs. @24.99! I looked up the company that makes the Target brand formula and it is a very upstanding...
