Let's face it, lots of parents say they don't want their child watching too much TV. However I feel these videos are fantastic, educational and provide an often needed break for working mommies! I was skeptical of these videos at first, yet received a set of these when my son was born. We started watching them when my son was about a year old. Baby Mozart was a soothing, and beautiful DVD, and five years later is still my son's favorite. We showed him Baby Santa two months later at Christmas time. Let me just say, if you pick the right TV shows to play for your children they can and want to learn (from more than us parents) and they do so quickly... One night I was washing the dishes and watching my dance around to the Christmas music. At one point he was mimicking the children: He was spinning circles (like the girls in the video were doing in their Christmas dresses), and waving at the snowman (like the little boy was doing, hiding behind a snowman and waving his hand out the side). Although I always appreciated the music, I realized at this point that my son liked watching and learning from other children.
To this day, my 5 year old son still asks to watch these videos. Although I've stopped buying them, we still sit down and watch his favorites now and again. We even listen to the CD's while he sleeps at night.
