I loved this crib soother. On those nights when my infant didn't want to fall asleep after nursing, I would put her in the crib and turn the soother on. It kept her entertained for 20 minutes, which is more than I can say for similar products. The batteries lasted for over 3 months as well!! It is also nice because it has a remote, so you don't have to let your child see you if you decide they need another 20 minutes.

We purchased the Baby Einstein Neptune Soother for our daughter several months ago. She is 6 months old now and she really enjoys watching the motion in this soother. It offers the option of using classical music or ocean sounds to soothe baby, and you have two volume levels to select from - nice! The unit is easy to install and I really appreciate that you are able to change the batteries without removing the entire toy from the crib. The soother offers 25 minutes of continuous "entertainment" for baby. It starts out at the volume you select and then after 10 min. it decreases the volume of the sounds. Another 10 min. later it eliminates the sound all together and just has a dim light that remains on for the final 5 min. It also features an infrared remote that allows you to turn the unit on and off from just outside the door way (or in our case, lets big brother turn it on as needed, since they share a room). The only down side I have seen is that the unit goes through batteries like CRAZY... however with 25 min. play times, it is understandable.

My little one received this as a Christmas gift when he was only 8 weeks old. By far, one of our favorites! It seems a bit too bright to use it at night when we are trying to get him to sleep, but it is great that you can do just the soothing water sounds and no light. He loves to lay in his crib and watch all the bright colors as the fish swim by and listen to the music or soothing water sounds. My only complaint, is that it is a bit of a battery hog! We had to replace the batteries in less than a month! I don't think we used it excessively, but it could also be that the batteries that came with it weren't the best ( I guess we will see how it does with the new Duracell ones we put in.) It also comes with a remote, which is a wonderful feature! You can sneak in and turn it on or off without disturbing baby! Overall, we love this crib soother and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

We got this with our second baby as a gift. At first I thought it was to loud and distracting for her to be in the crib with but now I think its a calming noise. I prefer it on the water sound because it acts more like a white noise and some of the tones on the music are piercing to the ears. I like all the options though that you can choose to have it on. When she is awake and I need to set her in there its perfect to turn on for a second. Her face lights up as soon as it starts moving. I LOVE that it has the remote to so I can sneak by and turn it off or on if I need to although its a bit touchy if your not facing it just right. It was easy to put up but I worry about it falling, one strap has already come off once so we put it back on hopefully better this time. I love the baby einstein line and this was a perfect thing to have for her to watch. Beautiful colors in it. Havent noticed it being a battery hog but we dont leave it on for long periods.

When I had my third child, I had a Fisher Price Happy Aquarium. It was a favorite of his, and I found out years later my then 5 year old would crawl in the crib with him just to watch it. When I was pregnant with my fourth child, I knew I wanted the same thing for her. There are many things I liked about this soother. The music is wonderful. It is much better than what I have heard in other models. There are so many different options for leaving the lights on, off, music high, low. There was a lot of thought to that. The pictures are entrancing. When she was very little, I actually liked watching it. The front is wavy so it makes the animals appear to be swimming as they go across the screen. There is a button on top that turns on just the light. This is great when I just want to look for a paci in the bed. The big button that turns on the light and music is right under the viewing screen. My daughter often gets up and turns it on herself. We have it set to play for 20 minutes and gradually get more quiet and fade away. This unit also has a remote, but we didn't really use that as much as I thought we would. Some of the things I don't like are that it is a MAJOR battery hog. Make sure you have plenty of "C's" available because you don't get any warning when it is going to quit. It just stops. Another thing I didn't care for was that I could not put it on the co-sleeper, safely. I had to wait until she graduated to the big crib, and for us, that was about 6 months. We're still using it, and I'm sure we will be using it for awhile.

I love the lights and sounds on this soother.  As a bonus, the screen moves, too!  Of course, you can customize this toy to only play music or lights or have the screen move or any combination of these.  Plus, you can turn on the light with the touch of a button just to check on baby and it will go off automatically.  Did I mention this thing comes with a remote??  Fantastic feature for turning the unit back on without disrupting baby.  However, the attaching straps are easily defeated by curious babes.  So, if our little guy plays before napping or wakes up and then plays, it will inevitably be taken down by his crafty little hands.
