The Baby Einstein Fabric Blocks were a popular toy when my daughter was around five to ten months old. She used to love to sit and watch me stack the blocks one by one. She would then push them over, which she thought was hilarious! While stacking the blocks, I could talk to her about how the tower was getting bigger and about the pictures on the blocks. I also talked to her about the colors and had her touch them to feel the different textures. The bright colors were perfect for her age at the time. Now that she is over a year old, she prefers the wooden blocks. These, however, were a great "beginner block" for her. One of the cons to these is that they do not always stack easily. Depending on the texture of a particular side, you may have to line it up just right. Also, this toy really was only used for five to six months. I usually prefer to purchase toys that keep my daughter's interest for a bit longer.

MY SON ABSOLUTELY LOVES BLOCKS, SO WHEN I FOUND THESE SOFT FABRIC BLOCKS I HAD TO HAVE THEM FOR HIM. HE CAN PLAY WITH THEM WITH OUT ME WORRING THAT HE MIGHT HIT HIMSELF IN THE FACE OR FALL ON A CORNER OF IT. ALSO THE TEXTURE OF THE BLOCK KEEPS HIM ENTERTAINED. NOT ONLY IS HE GETTING TO LEARN EXCITING WORDS HES GETTING TO PLAY WITH SOMETHING HE LOVES!! NOT ONLY ARE THESE BLOCKS EXCELLENT NOW THEY WILL BE EXCELLENT TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODS LATER ON. THEY HAVE GREAT DESIGNS. AND ARE VERY COLORFUL. THEY HELP MY CHILD PREPARE FOR WHAT IS COMING IN LATER LIFE, GIVING HIM THE SKILLS HE NEEDS THROUGHOUT HIS WHOLE LIFE. THEY ALSO TEACH HIM TO BUILD AND EXPLORE HIS POSSIBILITIES DEFINITELY A TOY I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ALL NEW PARENTS. NOT ONLY CAN YOU GIVE YOUR BABY ONE ON ONE TIME AS YOU READ TO THEM, YOU CAN GIVE THEM TO THEM WITH THE CONFIDENCE THAT THEY WONT GET HURT, AND THAT THEY WILL LEARN AND RESPOND TO WHAT THEY SEE.

We got lots of block sets for the baby, but he really enjoys the Baby Einstein Fabric Blocks. The bright colors attract his attention (they are nice and vibrant), and each of the four blocks has a sound quality- crinkle, ball, vibrate, etc. The baby especially enjoys the crinkle sound. I like that they seem to be stimulating, and fun. They are light enough that the baby can bat them around too, so he reaches for them. You can see how he is trying to master his motor skills and gripping ability by grabbing the blocks. And the different textures on the blocks helps too. Last night he discovered the vibrating block (this was a great idea). He is teething, and that vibration felt good in his mouth. Plus, with the different textures, he can chew on them. And the blocks keep his attention about as long as a baby can pay attention to something! Bought these at Target- means they are a great value too!
