Before our daughter was born, we found this seat on clearance for around $20 and I thought it would just be wonderful. However, I soon realized when she was born that it provided no support for her head and it really wasn't much of a rocker at all. I really wrote this chair off as absolutely worthless. We purchased the Boppy bouncer and used it for several months while the Einstein rocker gathered dust in our living room. Then, to add insult to injury, my overgrown puppy decided to gnaw on the toy bar and destroy it. So, left with just the seat and the octopus toy, I was seriously rethinking my purchase! Then on a whim a month or so ago, I pulled out the chair, cleaned it up and sat my 7 month old in it while I attempted a quick shower. I turned on the vibration and music on the chair and handed her the octopus. She loved it!!! I'm not sure if it's the vibrations, the music, or the octopus or other toys I give her to hold, but she will sit in the chair as happy as can be while I shower and do other chores. The chair still is not much of a rocker, but it's a perfect tool for when I just can't hold her. She sits far back in the seat, so even when she leans forward, she's nowhere near the edge of the chair and I know she's safe while I'm cleaning up a few feet away.
