I was not a big fan of having my daughter watching movies and tv all the time, having babysat for years for my 12 little cousins. It always bothered me to be inside on a gorgeous day, watching little 5 year olds glued to the tv.
So, when I was pregnant and recieved the baby einstein numbers nursery video, I was less than enthused. I held out for a looong time, until we were moving house and my little girl was just getting under everyone's feet and pulling things out of boxes, etc. Out of desperation, I popped in the video. She was GLUED to the tv. Laughing and clapping and repeating sounds.
She's now 22 months, and can count to 10, and knows her colors and most of the alphabet. (I've since bought other video's in the series).
The only bad thing is she does want to watch them a LOT. she calls them 'bideos'. I try to limit to one a day before nap, but....... who am I to stand in the way of learning?
