Pretty nice toy

4

Well, my baby likes this Baby Einstein Bendy Ball but I do have to question the safety of this baby toy when you take a look at all the interior screws which you can easily see. If one of those screws were to happen to come lose and you didn't happen to realize that it did, a baby could very easily swallow this choking hazard. I would be sure that they are all very secure at all times, also it isn't very bendy as it says in the name, you would have to be pretty strong to push it in. This isn't a great on-the-go toy since it can easily be thrown far or lost if little one's drop it. I do however like the concept of it and my little one enjoys his time with it, and I think that with a few minor changes to it, this Baby Einstein bendy ball could be a perfect toy. Versatility It's not very versatile, it's a toy ball, that's about the extent of it so baby can have a fun time with it though. Durability The Baby Einstein Bendy Ball is very durable, I will certainly give it that, it can stand up to being thrown, chewed on, and everything else little one's like to dish out. Safety There is the small safety issue regarding the screws that could come out, but, other than that I really didn't see any other issues with the safety of this toy. Ease of Cleaning Very simple to clean, just wipe it down or dip it into a cleaning solution, rinse, and let dry. Ease of Assembly It's already assembled for you, can't get any more simple than that!

Baby Einstein Bendy Ball - Would be better if it did bend!!

3

Baby Einstein Bendy Ball - Would be better if it did bend!! Our daughter who was three months old at that time received this as a stocking stuffer from her aunt this last Christmas. She definitely found it attractive and tried to reach for it. Even now at almost 6 months she holds it in her hand and shakes it. I like the fact that its a toy that interests her. However, Its not the most child friendly toy. I'm always scared of her tiny fingers getting stuck in the small gaps that the ball has. Plus its hard and she tries to put it in her mouth so she hits herself while doing that. It would be great if this toy was made of silicone instead of plactic. Also some additional sounds coming from the ball inside it would make it more interesting for a child to shake or reach for. Overall its an average toy. Nothing out of the ordinary!

Good first ball for baby

4

We have had this toy since birth, basically. It really became the most useful when my son started scooting. The ball was very motivating for him to scoot after! Then once he was able to sit, he enjoyed holding the ball and shaking it to hear the ball rattle. My son doesn't roll the ball back and forth yet, but I can see it becoming useful then, too. When my nephew comes to play, (20 months old) he enjoys playing with it, too. I do have to watch out for him throwing it, though. Because it's hard, it could do some damage if it hit something. The ball is easy to clean, but I can see if you were trying to clean the inner ball--that might be difficult. It's not sqeezable, but that is fine with me. I guess I can understand that there isn't anything to chew on for babies, but my son still tried! Overall, it is a good, inexpensive toy that will grow with your child. I would definately recommend this product.

Simple, fun toy

We bought this toy for our 5 month old and he really likes it. His little fingers can grab the ball easily, he shakes it and throws it to hear the rattle and it has nice bright colors. He likes to hold it with both hands and look at it and feel it. He is just beginning to crawl (or try) so this actually helps. He sits to play with ball, then rolls it away and reaches for it. Often times getting on tummy and scooting to grab it again. It doesn't roll very far because of the little caterpillar along the outside and I'm not really sure how to feel about that! He throws it but on the other, eventually he'll want to roll a ball around smoothly. e'd roll it and he would go after it again and again. He seemed to like the sound of the ball inside and tried to get the ball out. The bendy feature helps the ball "give" with play. The bright colors are great. It's a excellent active toy! I'm glad we were able to find a fun, inexpensive toys as a gift.

Baby Einstein Bendy Ball is great for graspers

I was a little worried about the Bendy Ball at first.  I had gotten it as a shower gift, and I put it away until my daughter was about five months old.  Then I found it and thought she would like it.  However, the first time I gave it to her, she started screaming, something she never does, so I immediately took it away.  I tried again about a week later, with the same reaction. Then I came  home while she was playing with Daddy and they were having a blast with the ball.  She holds it in one hand and shakes it vigorously, then brings it to her mouth and gums the soft sides.  I think once she's older she'll continue to like it, because she can hold it with one hand or two, or even practice rolling it or playing a gentle game of "catch." It's not too big and doesn't take up a lot of space, doesn't need batteries and doesn't play annoying music. (Just a pleasant rattle.)  This is a great, inexpensive toy, once your child is old enough to enjoy it.  I would not recommend it for a child that could not sit up or grasp objects on her own.

Baby Einstein Bendy Ball is fun

My one-year-old just got the baby einstein bendy ball for Christmas this year and he likes it. He's fascinated by jingle ball inside and likes to reach his fingers in through the holes to push it around. The also likes to bite between the holes. I like that the holes are big enough that the webbing allows for his teeth. The soft bendy plastic make it ideal for chewing. He also likes to chase it and I think it will help him learn to crawl (yes, he's a little late :) I don't think that I would have bought this for him myself but I'm glad we got it as a gift. It's cute. It rolls like a ball, but where he can't grip balls, he's able to pick up and shake this ball. I haven't found a Baby Einstein toy yet that I've been dissapointed in yet. This one isn't a must-have in my opinion, but it is fun and even if he doesn't play with it all the time, it's little and easy to store or take on trips.

Baby Einstein Bendy Ball perfect for kids of all ages

My one year old has been playing with this ball since he was about 3 months old. It was one of the first toys he played with. The holes make it very easy to grab, which was a problem with all other balls. He could easily loop his fingers around it and shake. Once he started really chewing on toys, it remained a great favorite because it has some different textures--the soft bendy part and the hard plastic middle parts. As he got bigger, he still continued to play with it, shaking it, chewing it, throwing it. Now that he's almost one, he is finding new ways to play with it. Of course, he still loves chewing on it and probably will for a while, but he's learning new interactive methods for play. He now likes to "play" ball with us, tossing or rolling it in our direction and having us roll it back to him. Again the fact that this ball is so easy to grab makes this game much easier. He still has trouble holding on to other solid balls, but the loops on this ball make it a cinch. I'm sure this toy will continue to be used around our house for a while!

Great toy!

I bought this for my daugher when she was 2months old.  My daughter grabbed onto it with no problem and loved to bring it to her mouth.  After about a day of using it, she quickly discovered that she could transfer the toy from hand to hand!  Yup, at 2months old my little one could transfer this toy from one hand to the other.  And she loved doing it.  Before you know it, she started to shake it.  When she discovered it made noise, she would shake it like crazy.  At about 2 1/2 months she started transferring other toys  from hand to hand.  The peditrician was very impressed. This toy has helped her learn to transfer toys using both hands (big milestone).  It helped her develop a strong  grasp too!  She is 5months old and chucks the ball sometimes on accident because she swings it around so hard.  She has hit her face with it before which made her cry but she's learned not to do that now. I recomend this toy for EVERY baby to help develop some pretty amazing skills.  The sooner the better!! To clean it, I just spray it with disinfective spray at the end of the day.  If I am out and about and it falls on the floor , I use sanitizer wipes to wipe down but it could be tedious.

Baby Einstein Bendy Ball is fun and inexpensive

4

I recently bought my son the Baby Einstein Bendy Ball and he enjoys it very much.  This is a very simple ball with a smaller rattle ball inside.  My son is at the age where he likes to throw things around.  He finds it very amusing to throw things and this ball is durable and stands up to his rough play.  The ball has holes in it so it is easy for him to hold and can be bent for him to fit his fingers inside.  The colors of the ball are bright and cheerful and the catepillar on it is cute and typical baby einstein.  The ball is also nice and light so my son doesn't have any trouble holding and throwing it.  He also likes toys that make noise so the rattle inside the ball is perfect for him.  This ball is also super affordable so won't break the bank like some other toys out there.  The sides of the ball are soft so he can't hurt himself with it when he bangs it against him head.  Overall a great, simple toy!

Perfect bendy ball for little hands.

4

Once my babe saw this bendy ball at a friend's place, we had to get it!  It is extremely light and has many areas that little hands and little fingers can grab at so they can hold this ball.  Once they are holding the ball, they can shake it!  It is very colorfull which is visually stimulating for them. It is great from infancy on up.  The bright colors is what makes the smaller babies go to the ball and want to grab at it.  You can easily attach links to this ball and hang it from your diaper bag to bring somewhere or hang it from anything you want!  Since it is a ball, it is difficult to clean on the inside, so just swish it in some hot soap water and hope for the best!  Although it is a ball, it does not really roll all the well. I think this is because it has the baby einstein catepillar on the outside of it which makes it not evenly round. So, if you are looking for a rolling ball, this isn't it.
