A huge FYI to all parents...If the Baby Bjorn is not adjusted correctly you will indeed experience sore back muscles!
My story started with a try at the wrap-type sling thing. It was pretty confusing and frustrating to say the lest. I then had the brillant idea to research and read through many baby carrier reviews. Long story short, I ended up purchasing a New (not Used) Original Baby Bjorn sling.
After 30 minutes of carrying my child I did indeed experienced the back aches and sore shoulder muscles .I thought maybe the aches were due to my weak stomach muscles from my recent c-section delivery. I was sooo wrong! Here are three important details I missed at my first go with my Baby Bjorn carrier instruction manual.
1. Read all the instructions carefully and remember to adjust the triangular plastic back piece to the MIDDLE of the back.
2. When you have your baby in the sling the final adjustment is to lift the baby by the tush with one hand while the other tightens the side straps. Always make sure the top of baby's head is right at your chin or chins(for those who haven't lost the baby fat, like me).
3. As the baby grows in length adjust the strap between the baby's legs accordingly.
*if all this is done and you still hurt well then...get your money back
