I'm certain when i was a baby we didn't have or sleep in such a fancy crib. Plus I'm the youngest of three and would have been dealing with hand me downs and my dad wouldn't want to spend that kinda money. We got this crib as a baby shower gift. It's safe and sturdy. Great espresso color. Plus we picked it out and put the crib on our baby gift registry at buy buy baby store. Plus gave the coupon to help the person save some money for purchasing the crib. We got an amazing dual sided mattress that is made for newborns and babies on one side and the other side when your kid grows much much older. Which is a wonderful mattress and i remember saying it felt comfortable when my baby girl was still in my belly. I chose to put this specific crib for its lovely design, color and the fact that its convertible, which is super convenient and saves us from having to buy a bed to replace the crib at least years later when she out grows the convertible bed. Definitely recommend this beautiful crib to anyone looking for a lovely crib

We bought the Babi Italia Lifetime Convertible Crib for our first son.  I was the new mom who read every review, every recommendation so I was an informed consumer when it came to crib shopping.  My husband wasn't, he relied on me!  But, he loved the quality and sturdiness of the crib which was all he cared about.  He shook every crib in the store and this one felt the best!  It endured our very strong baby without causing us any fears.  Plus, it is a beautiful crib.  We paired the espresso finish with blue, red, soft yellow and soft green bedding and it looked wonderful.  It was also pretty easy to find a matching dresser because the offered furniture to accompany it was too highly priced for us.  It was easy (well, for my husband, I didn't try) to assemble and easy to lower the mattress as he grew. We have converted it to the toddler bed and it still looks very nice and has withstood his growth and activity level without showing any wear for the past 2 1/2 years.  It was very easy for my husband to convert. My recommendation would be to go ahead and buy the conversion pieces (if you can) when you buy the crib.  There is always the chance that the product will be discontinued and you'll have a harder time converting it.

This was the first crib to catch my eye -- and I am SO thrilled we bought it. It's a gorgeous crib, for one, and it also will turn into a convertible bed that my son can use all the way until college. It's a classy looking design and won't be too girly or too young looking. It is a good quality wood and the color is a beautiful espresso stain. The best thing was that this crib was VERY easy to assemble. My husband and I are the kind of people who don't look at the directions first and then freak out when it's backward and upside down (ha!), but this was extremely easy to put together, and we got it done in about an hour. Lowering the crib mattress on this crib was also very easy and took no time at all. My son will be using this crib as a toddler bed and then a regular double bed, so when we have another child, we will have to buy another crib, but I will definitely be buying another Baby Italia.

We picked this crib out when I was only a couple months along. Even though it is on the pricey side we decided to get a convertible crib because we would save money in the long run. We looked at many convertible cribs and they were okay but when I saw this one I just fell in love. The color and design are beautiful. We also got the matching changing table/ dresser. The crib was fairly easy to assemble, and has different height settings for the mattress. As they grow you can lower the mattress so that they can't get out of the crib. I was a little worried about how high the front is because I am only 5' 3", but it isn't as big a problem as I thought it would be. Right now we have the mattress at the lowest setting and there are times when I have trouble getting stuff out of the crib, but it isn't that bad.  Our son is about 13 months old now and I still love this crib just as much as the day we got it. I would definitely recommend this crib to others.

We bought this crib for my son. It came in one large box and needed to be assembled. The assemble instructions were not where they were supposed to be. My husband started putting it together without the instructions and it was quite simple. I ended up finding the assemble instructions were in the box with the metal mattress grate. Once we found the directs, it was put together in less than an hour from start to finish. I was a little concerned that there was no drop-down side since I am on the short side (5ft 4). I am able to easily put my infant in and take him out of the crib. The crib is very sturdy and made well. Its absolutely gorgeous and looks fantastic in our nursery. This crib is much more than we expected. It is well worth the money we spent on it. It has beautiful color and amazing craftsmanship. It is a quality piece of furniture that will last thoroughout our baby's growing up years.
