I recently ran out of my refill blades for my Gillette Venus Razor For Women that I absolutely love. I happened to have a package of BIC Soleil Triple Blade Razors with Lube Strip for Women that I was given as part of a birthday gift from my sister. I had not used them because I was perfectly happy with my Venus Razor. Well, now was the perfect time to break them out and give them a try. I got the closest shave that I have ever gotten after using this razor.
About Bic Soleil
Bic Soleil Triple Blade Razors are disposable and have pivoting heads with shea butter and aloe lube strips. The curvy handle has a non-slip grip with scented handles that are available in either Citron or Lavender scents. A package of four disposable razors will cost you around $4.99 and are available at most grocery and drugstores.
My Experience
The package of razors that I had was the Citron scent. Honestly, I don't get the whole idea behind having a scented handle. When I first opened the package, I did smell a strong scent but once I took a razor out and began using it, there really wasn't much scent at all unless I put it directly up to my nose. The scent of the handle really isn't something that I would or wouldn't buy this razor for. I care much more about the comfort of the handle and the closeness of the shave. The razor felt very comfortable in my hands and did indeed have a non-slip grip. I applied shaving cream to my legs and once I began shaving, I could immediately feel how very sharp the blades were. I have to admit that I was certain that I was going to get cut but to my surprise, I didn't get one nick. What I got was the closest shave I have ever gotten. This razor left my legs very smooth and I didn't experience any razor bumps or burns. Usually by the end of the day, my legs begin to feel stubbly but with this razor, my legs were just as smooth as they were immediately after I shaved them. My husband even made a comment about how smooth my legs felt.
My Final Viewpoint
The BIC Soleil Triple Blade Razor with Lube Strip for Women is affordable, comfortable in my hand and very effective at removing hair and leaving my legs smooth. The triple blades may not be appropriate for those who have sensitive skin but for me, they worked fantastic. I may be in the minority but I am going with a 4 star rating on these razors.
P.S. A razor to definitely stay away from is the Schick Intuition Plus Razor. This razor will rip your legs to shreds! It did mine! :(
