A dozen unremarkable Razors at a cheap price

4

I tried BIC Disposable Sensitive Razors a few times to see what the difference was between it and the high quantity of regular BIC disposables available at essentially the same price. These were on the market long before the advent of the twin blade and pivoting head, but they survive because they're cost-effective and still deliver a shave, however unreliable. I bought them in the 1980's when the advertising was at it's peak. Again the only value here is that I was a getting a bunch of plastic razors that don't work very well for a cheap price, single unprotected blades that are good for the occasional unexpected trip when I need to purchase something quickly. In the end it is probably better to go the extra mile and invest in a solid heavy-duty razor that uses cartridges. In return it would eliminate cutting up my face and having so many flimsy razors cluttering up my bathroom.

The Ouch! Factor

1

I do not recommend anyone use these razors, male or female. I can't even put into words how much these disposable razors hurt my skin. A cut here, razor burn there... ouch! These are supposed to be for sensitive skin but I'm beginning to think that the disposable Bic Sensitive razors were only named Sensitive to sell the razors themselves. I don't know anyone who uses these razors & likes them. If you don't have a choice, then I would be extremely careful using the razor & use lots of shaving cream or lather tons of soap. I don't much care for the design of the razor either. It's so small to the point where it is hard for me to use it, & I have small hands. I would not recommend that any male or female ever use this disposable razor. There is barely any moisture on the moisturizing strip as well. That is something I personally find very frustrating in a disposable razor. So in short, don't use this razor if razor burn & shaving cuts bother you!

Great razor for the price

Love how these are not only much cheaper than most big name brand men or womens razors, but love how great they work. They work better than anything I have ever used on my legs. The blades are sharp enough so I do not have to go over areas multiple times. The handle is not some weird shape, so I do not feel like I am holding some odd feeling thing. I grew up with my family buying these and watching my father use them on his face. My husband will use them, but they are not his favorite. Like I said before, I on the other hand love these razors.

Painful, not ideal.

I guess using disposable razors goes with the territory of traveling, but I would avoid this product if at all possible. My skin is sensitive and Bic disposable razors made me bleed profusely. They really cut up my face where other razors and electric shavers work absolutely fine. It does not feel at all smooth when you shave, and is actually highly uncomfortable. But it does get the job done, I guess. It did shave my beard.

As Good A Shave As Any

I spent 35 happy years using Braun electric shavers, until Braun sold out to Procter and Gamble. The expensive Braun I have now is the lowest quality shaver I've ever used. Then I went through Gillette products (also a Procter and Gamble brand). Rip-off prices and manufactured obsolescence. Not wishing to continue to be a sucker, I bought a bag of Bic disposables. Then I heard that by protecting the blade from oxidation, you could extend its life. So I use them, dry them and spray them with WD-40. Works like a charm. Two or three months of daily shaves in each one of them. The actual blade is made by Wilkinson. If I could buy a brand new 1975, German-made Braun shaver I'd do it in a flash. But I can't. These Bic disposeables are almost as good.

Bic Dsiposable Shaver's Work Good!

*Bic disposable razors *are all I buy for myself. I don't like messing with individual razor blades that you have to put into a shaver. I prefer the throw-a-ways because they are practical, easy to pack, and they work good. I have very sensitive skin so I always buy the *Bic Sensitive razors,* and they almost never cut me. After I shave I always lather on some pure coconut oil on my legs because shaving tends to dry my skin out. I've used the non sensitive *Bic razors *before but they don't work as good and they usually cut me right below the knee. I would definitely recommend the *Sensitive Bic* razors to my friends and family. *Bic Sensitive *comes in a 6 pack, 12 pack, or 18 pack of razors. In our family we go through them quite rapidly so I usually buy the bigger pack so I won't have to buy as often. These razors are very convenient and you can buy them just about anywhere. I give them four stars for sure!

Bic Disposable razors aren't for me

1

It doesn't matter what they want to call their razors Bic Soliel ,Bic Sensitive Skin. I can't use these things. I use shaving cream not soap, but after I get out of the shower i have totally chewed up legs. I look like I've run through a brier patch. I've tried so many of their razors and still they eat my skin up. I find I can buy a cheap store brand with a lubricated strip and these work just fine. These things may say for women but I think that it's the same blades they use on the men's razors.I mean do you think they make different blades just for women's leg and armpits? I would say they are probable all the same. So no thanks I'm sorry Bic I have to give you a bad rating. In the summer when I like to have smooth legs for shorts I have to wait till the cuts heal first. So save your money and try a store brand with the strip on it and I bet you get a great shave and not all the nicks and cuts from these razors.

Ouch!

I got a pack of these in my christmas stocking this year. I thought they would be super, since I underpack when traveling. I didn't bring extra toiletries with me, other than toothbrush and toothpaste for the holiday visit. Trying to use them in the shower, I discovered they were less than ideal. Even with a nice lather, I could feel the drag. I got one leg done and decided not to even bother with the second. The stubble was still there after shaving, just shorter. It also left my skin sensitive from the tugging. I won't be using the rest of the pack. I secretly ditched the remaining kit in the bathroom supply box of my host. I thought, thank goodness I was just with the family and didn't really need to worry about exposed legs over the holiday break, since the other forrested leg would have to wait until I returned home from my trip. I would not be reccommending to anyone, ever. So please, santa, don't give these to me again.

BIC Disposable: Cheap and Effective for a Single Blade Razor

4

I recently took a trip to Florida. I flew on an airline that charged a fee for checked baggage. Because my trip was for an extended weekend, I simply brought a carry on bag with me. I ran out to my local grocery store to buy these BIC razors. I needed a single blade razor to pass through security. BIC is a well known brand. In addition, these razors claimed to be ideal for those with sensitive skin. Thus, I chose these razors over any others. Of course, I am used to a mutli blade razor. A single blade simply does not produce the same results. Regardless, these razors met my needs for my quick vacation. They removed unwanted body hair in a reasonable amount of time. I experienced no cuts from this product. In addition, I experienced little to no redness on my body. If you are traveling light or simply on a budget, I would recommend these BIC razors. They will get the job done. Also, they should be too difficult to find. I expect that they are readily available at your local drug or grocery store.
