B.C. Rich Ironbird Electric Guitar, Onyx: I bought my B.C. Rich Ironbird, the Platinum Version, (not the crappy Bronze Edition they are selling currently) about a year ago, as an upgrade to my cheapo epiphone SG, and at the time i was extremely happy with it. The neck played very well, very slim and played relitivly fat, and after it was set up, i did it personally, it played like a dream. The problem i had, which is on most B.C. Rich guitars, is that it is neck heavy, and if you are an animated performer like i am, you often let go of the guitar to gesture with your hands as part of your performance. Problem here is that if you do with this guitar, the headstock will almost hit the floor! Another problem is the stock BDSM pick-ups are not exactly the best in the world. But, since i only payed $135 out the door from a Pawn Shop, and the thing goes for over $600 MSRP, it definitly was well worth it, and it looks awesome in my opinion. Currently it is my Back-up guitar next to my Les Paul Knock-off, and i use it for down tunings since it has an excellent look for metal, especially the stuff i like to play. so in conclusion, hold on to the neck, and hook it up with some nice pups and this guitar can really shine, especially if you play alot of Heavy Metal.
