Axeus Champion Paper Shredder Review Summary

If you need to shred paper on a budget, the Axeus Champion Paper Shredder could be a good choice of shredders for your household. This shredder is much less expensive than other paper shredders and it cuts up paper well enough that no one can read what was once on the paper. However, positive reviewer comments are scarce with the Axeus Champion Paper Shredder and reviewers have made blunt comments such as “Champion Shredders Lack Durability and Longterm Performance” and “A Waste of Your Money”. The problems reviewers have with the Axeus Champion Paper Shredder include its tendency to jam on a consistent basis, its inablity to handle very many sheets at a time, and its weak blades that are prone to bending. With a record like this, it isn’t surprising that the Axeus Champion Paper Shredder ranks among the worst Misc. Office Devices on the market today.

We all get the mailbox full of junk mail, it is the American way after all. Along with that junk mail are all those credit card offers and a chance someone could steal your identity. We all need to be aware of that danger and do something about it. I am doing my best and my Champion Paper Shredder helps... read full review »

I purchased a Champion wq120d shredder from WalMart. It jammed and wrapped up 2 weeks later. I took it back and exchanged it for another of the same.  It lasted 6 months and same problem. I followed the instructions and lubricated it as directed. The middle blades bent and Papper wrapped around the... read full review »

The Champion Shredder I purchased at Walmart regularly gets paper jams.  Also, when I turned the shredder head over to clean a paper jam, I found the shredder's metal prongs bent.  I was stunned to find that with normal use such extreme damage occurred.  The metal in the shredders must be of inferior quality because I have a Fellowes shredder that is still operating without fail with daily use over 15 years.

Also, on the two occasions that I've tried to reach Champion Customer Service, I got voice mail.  In two days, I have not received a return call from their office in response to my message. ...

I bought a Champion Shredder at Wal*lMart and it jammed when I tried to unjam it I saw the metal shreddings were bent  I was careful with it as to what I put in it but thought maybe I did something wrong so I went out to Wal*Mart and purchased another one exactly like the first one ...not too long after it also jammed and it too bent .  Now this time I was extra careful...also on this one it wouldn't stay on as I shredded I had to manually hold on to shred.  I am completely disgusted with it... the model type is  CHAMPION WQ120D  I will never purchase another that is for sure.  I am going...

The Champion LS101B is an inferior product.  It jams after every third or fourth single page no matter how careful one is in feeding the paper.  It is very frustrating and shouldn't qualify for even low-presssure family use.

This shredder has not lasted anytime. All of the paper jams up in the corners and stops the machine. You have to unplug it and dig the paper out of the shredder. It was one of the worst shredders I have ever bought. I had a cheap-o $9.99 small shredder from Wal-Mart that worked alot better than this one. The only problem with it is it did not have a base, you had to hang it on a trash can. I think I will get it back out and start using it again.

The champion  WQ120D paper shredder jammed, constantly.  The middle prongs are broken, and the machine is useless.  The machine lasted less than 3 months.   This machine had minimum usage, shredding plain paper items.  Is there a recall?  If not there should be one.

I purchased my Champion paper shredder WQ120D during tax session a few months back. It worked great for the first 4 - 6 weeks... but over time the center blades began to bend and it has become a daily task (when I use it) to clean the blades multiple times.

At this point I believe I am going to give up on it and move back to a more reliable shredder. This is the second shredder I have purchased from WalMart (different brands each time). Both times, I have found the workmanship and durability to be in question.  I am going to look at Staples and OfficeMax, pay a few more dollars.. and get something...

The shredder lasted about 3 months with very limited use. I bet I didn't shred 30 sheets of paper before the cutters bent and jammed up. This shredder is a complete flop and Axeus should replace them free of charge. However I did not keep my receipt and therefore has no warranty.
