Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus - Gentle Breeze — 

Avon Skin so Soft Bug Guard Plus SPF 30 is a lightly scented (Gentle Breeze), insect repellent, SPF 30 sunscreen lotion.  This product is very water resistant. 

This product is not the one with the blue dye in it.  This is a dye free formula.  The lotion is not very thick and is easily applied.  The scent is not overwhelming, but rather a plus compared to similar products that have very strong foul scents.

I was hesitant about buying a product that is scented because I thought it would attract more bugs.  I could not have been more wrong.  This product does repel mosquito's, flies (we have those nasty Greenhead flies), and no-seeums.  The recommended application for insect repellent is every two hours.  I put it on once and did not reapply all day.  I did not get sunburned or chewed up.

The only disadvantage of this product is a 4 ounce bottle costs approximately $6.00; not including delivery. 

Compared to other products with similar claims on the market, this one fairs very well and is worth the expense.

We have mosquitos the size of pickup trucks here and this stuff really keeps them away!

I made the mistake of buying the Cool and Fabulous bug guard, which is the one with the blue dye in it. My kids looked like smurfs and my hand was a permanent blue for a while. We still have some left that I am trying to use up. Next time, I'll stick with the one that you reviewed!
