Avon SSS Bug Guard Plus - Gentle Breeze SPF 15 Review

Although I would never have thought of Avon as being a manufacturer of bug repellents, this is probably the best one I have ever used. I initially saw in a woman's magazine (I have forgotten which one) that reviewed various bug repellents and chose this as the winner, over many better known brands such as Off!.

Most bug repellents are incredibly smelly and loaded with chemicals. This one is probably just as loaded with chemicals (although not DEET, which is very effective but very toxic), but smells *almost* pleasant without being perfume-y, which just attracts more insects.

It comes in a pump bottle, which is convenient, although I would have preferred an aerosol for easier spraying.  As an added bonus, it has sunscreen.  I cannot vouch for the effectiveness of the sunscreen, as I generally use a separate one.

I generally use this when hiking, and using it has drastically reduced the number of bug-bites/ welts I end up with.
