I've been a big fan of Avon products for as long as I can remember. My mom used to buy all kinds of Avon products from our neighbor and I actually sold Avon for a few years in high school. It was during that time that I fell in love with Avon Skin So Soft Bath Oil not only as a bath oil and moisturizer but as the best darn insect repellent I've ever used.
Avon Skin So Soft comes in a 5 ounce spray bottle and costs $6. There are larger bottles that do not come with a spray nozzle that can be used to refill the smaller bottle when it's empty. Skin So Soft has a wonderful scent that I loved to pour into bathwater for a relaxing and moisturizing treat. When I emerge from the bath I just massage the oil into my skin and enjoy the light scent on my skin for hours. I also like to spray it on my legs after shaving to soothe any razor burn and moisturize.
But the purpose for which I use Skin So Soft most often is as an insect repellent. Here in Michigan we are plagued by mosquitoes from early summer through fall, even during the day. All summer long the first thing I do on days when I know I'll be outside a lot is slather myself with Skin So Soft to keep the bugs away from me. I swear by it. One time my husband and I went on a picnic in Northern Michigan where all of his friends where spraying Off and other chemicals on themselves and choking and sputtering in the process. I had sprayed myself that morning with Skin So Soft and was never bothered by a single bug but, better yet, never had to apply harmful chemicals to myself to repel them. I simply sat there bug-free, highly moisturized, and smelling like the sweetest gal at the party.
You can also use Skin So Soft for lots of other things such as, removing stickers from windows and appliances, getting gum out of hair, conditioning and polishing wood, removing paint from skin, and removing Liquid Nails.
