Avon Plump Pout Lip Gloss —

While this lip gloss usually retails for $7, as of this review, it was on sale for $3.99. Even at $7, it's still a great value.

I bought the Nude Pout, which is a pinkish-nude sheer gloss. I absolutely love it. I was so worried that Nude Pout would be the traditional brownish shade that every other cosmetic company sells, but it's not! It's the prettiest color that is very sheer. If you're a big color fan, try Luscious Mauve instead. If you're looking for just the tiniest hint of color, Pink Pucker is very pretty. Plumping Pearl would be great over a lipstick, while Clearly Plump works for the "au naturel" girl.

When you apply it with the brush applicator, you do notice a cinnamon odor and a very slight tingle. This quickly dissipates. This gloss is very light and deposits just the right amount of shine. It's not sticky at all.

Let's face it, there isn't a lip product out there that's going to give you Angelina Jolie lips. Avon's Plump Pout Lip Gloss gives you a subtle effect and it's very nice.

I've tried Patricia Wexler's plumping lip gloss that sells at Bath & Body Works. It's a clear gloss that is somewhat sticky, heavy and has a strong stinging sensation. As for the actual lip plumping, it was the same with Wexler's that I got with Avon's. Considering Wexler's is much more expensive, I'll stick with Avon!

I've also tried Bare Escentuals lip plumping glosses. While I absolutely loved the mint scent and the color 'Dolly', I did not love the stickiness. I also didn't care for the $20 price tag! Again, the lip plumping was the same as Avon's product.

For $7 (or $3.99 on sale), this is such a great product that performs well. The best part is, if you don't like it, you can return it to Avon for a refund (minus shipping).

My only complaint about this lip gloss is that Avon needs to offer a larger color selection.
