About Avon NAILWEAR Nail Enamel
Avon is not my favorite company for beauty products but is often inexpensive and sometimes has some winners. This nail polish doesn't win any accolades from me.
The polish is offered in several shades and finishes: six shimmers, five sheers, four metallics, and 13 satins. I chose Mulberry, a light plummy satin shade. Avon promised 10 day performance with normal touch ups. In other words, they were telling me this stuff was going to chip! And boy did it.
Each bottle is .4 ounce and you can see the shade through the container. The brush is a standard nail polish brush, nothing special there. I applied this polish to my nails after using a base coat that promised to extend polish by days (also from Avon). The polish went on smoothly but was a bit thick. The color was fine but I found that the thick polish took forever to dry, which is always a bad thing for someone like me who can't sit still for more than a minute without doing SOMETHING. When the polish dried, it looked nice but, within hours had already chipped. That was fast! I was careful not to do anything that would cause my polish to chip but it did anyway. In a day, my nails were all chipped and I had to touch up as Avon promised. After a few days, I just removed it all and applied clear polish. There is nothing less attractive than a woman with raggedy chipped nail color. Ugh.
My Viewpoint
Avon isn't my favorite company for a reason. It's so hit and miss. This nail polish is a miss for me. There are several shades and finishes but the stuff chips and peels so fast! I am disappointed in this nail polish and give it 2 stars.
