For some reason I feel the need to continuously try different primer's for the face.  I have found a few good ones and have reviewed them previously.  About 4 weeks ago, I purchased Avon's new MagiX Face Perfector from my Avon lady.  I instantly loved this product.  It's a face primer (works awesome with or without foundation) and an SPF (20).  This silky, gel-type, colorless formula glides on super easy.  It instantly attacks any shine (without drying out my very oily skin) and camouflages imperfections (fine lines, light scarring).  It does not cover freckles or age spots so if you are looking to "cover" something it's not made for that

MagiX Face Perfector is perfect for anyone who wants to look naturally flawless and beautiful without looking like you're wearing any makeup. I wear it during the week before I put on my makeup (doesn't need time to dry like most primers).  On weekends, when I don't want to wear makeup, I use my normal beauty products and then slide some of this on.  I love the fact that there is an SPF...did I mention that??? :-)

MagiX Face Perfector facts:

  • Targets pores: visibly minimizes pores with patent-pending Optix Light-Diffusing Technology. (it has a slight pearly look to it)
  • Banishes Shine: holds back shine for up to 10 hours (not this long on me but I still love it)
  • Smooths Skin: reduces the look of fine lines (it really does look smooth and feels extremely soft)
  •  Apply evenly before sun exposure or as needed.

The one and only drawback for me is the smell.  It smells...."old."  That's the only way that I can describe it.   (Maybe I got a bad tube???).  I don't care because what it does to my skin is great....I'm not planning on eating it!  :-)

Avon's MagiX Face Perfector SPF 20 is 1 fl. oz. and is approx. $10, which is well under the typical cost of face primers.  I want to buy 10 at a time because I'm scared they'll discontinue it after awhile (Avon is good at that) but I don't know what the shelf life is on the product.

I consider myself to have tough skin, yet sensitive....meaning things can make me breakout. I've had very good luck with Avon's MagiX Face Perfector. In fact, I just ordered 2 more from my Avon lady.

How would it be for sensitive skin?

I remembered how to read the code. I bought some lotion with the code MIH81. That means it expires in August of 2011. Hope that helps.

Ask your Avon lady about the shelf life. There is a way to read the code on the bottom of the tube but I've forgotten how.
