Avon Instant Manicure Dry Nail Enamel Strips —

When I was in high school I used to paint my nails every day, at night after doing my homework. I would paint to match my outfits and makeup, and only when really pressed would I wear the same color scheme two days in a row.

I have no problem painting my nails, I can paint my nails and put on pantyhose with wet nails. However, with a puppy it is a little hard to ignore his needs to let my nails dry. When I saw these (on sale) I thought perfect, just what I needed.

As a veteran nail painter I have used Lee press on nails once or twice, and they always fit my nails perfectly. That lead me to believe that I had the one size in the one size fits all nails department. Apparently Avon and Lee see fingernails differently.

These were too wide for my nails, hard to trim, and hard to put on. There isn't any glue involved, and based on that they are better than fake nails, but since I could not get them on, I can not comment on durability.

I think if you are going to splurge on products for your nails it is better to go for a manicure (the cheep mall type) than spend your money on this product.

Mine are on the narrow side too. I see what you mean. Painting them would be easier thanks.

The nail films are stretchy, and hard to trim because they suggest trimming with your nails or I think an orange stick. Once you get them on you have to take them off with nail polish remover. I also have narrow nails, and all of the sizes were way too wide. They claim that you should be able to run your nails along the side and remove any excess, but I did not find that to be so. It is easier for me to paint my nails than go through this type of frustration.

Oh, yeah, if I pay for a manicure, I am super careful. lol. Now that my nails are short again, I find it's easier to paint them and not screw up the polish. Good polish makes a huge difference!

Yeah, I have. They work OK but nothing like they claim. I get better luck using a speed dry top coat or spray.

I like to paint my nails but sometimes I get spasms, making for a clorful disaster. I thought this product might be a good possibility. How do you apply it? What makes it hard to trim?

Did you ever try those little gizmoes that you put your painted nails in and the fan dries them?

They are weird, and dont work. I paint my nails when I know that there is something good I want to watch on TV so I can sit still long enough to let them dry. I also found that if I pay for a manicure I am more careful.

I always wondered how this stuff worked. I stink at letting nails dry. I just have to do something stupid and ruin the polish. I was going to buy these when they were on sale but they seemed weird. lol.
