Someone needs to stop letting me buy things just because they're on sale. That's how I end up with products like Avon Foot Works Tropical Coconut Cooling Foot Spray. Avon promises to get your feet "beach ready" and make you feel like you're on a vacation just by spritzing your tootsies. So why am I still scratching my head, trying to figure out why I spent two bucks on a bottle of who-knows-what-it-does?
Avon Foot Works Tropical Coconut Cooling Foot Spray costs around $4.99, but of course, Avon often has great sales, so I paid $1.99 for my 3.4 Fl oz. bottle. The spray contains several oils: sweet almond, coconut, and sea kelp. It also contains alcohol, cetyl acetate, and other fragrances. Yikes. Directions are simply to spray your feet and lower legs with the foot spray or spritz it in your footwear to deodorize and cool your tired, hot feet.
So despite the fact that I'm supposed to feel like I'm on a summer cruise, I still cannot tell at all what this stuff does! When I spray my feet, they feel dry, but not in a good way. They feel like dried fruit rather than just pleasantly un-sweaty. Worse yet is the smell! I have never smelled coconut like this in my life (and I grew up in the Caribbean!!!) All I smell is alcohol. I suppose if they made a coconut-scented nail polish remover, it would smell a lot like Avon Foot Works Tropical Coconut Cooling Foot Spray.
I would caution anyone against buying this product. It's essentially useless and does little more than stink up your feet with alcohol. Personally, I'd rather just wash my feet with soap if they get sweaty than smell like this! One star...and even that's overly generous.
