Avon Ergonomic Tweezers —

Quick View: I never really thought about what tweezers I used for general eyebrow plucking. I mean, tweezers are tweezers right? Wrong! I actually got a pair of Avon Ergonomic Tweezers for 99 cents with a purchase and couldn't be more pleased with them. I won't go back to my general purpose tweezers again!

My Take on Avon Ergonomic Tweezers

There are medical type tweezers for splinters and things and there are beauty type tweezers for grooming. I never really thought about that before. I just picked up some cheap tweezers and used them, often with frustrating results.

When I received the Avon Ergonomic Tweezers with a purchase, I gave them a shot. WOW. These tweezers really fit well in my hand and are tilted perfectly. They grasp every little hair and make plucking stray eyebrow hairs so easy and painless.

These tweezers are plastic coated and a bit bigger than standard aluminum ones. They have aluminum tips that are slightly slanted to get at even tiny hairs with ease. The tweezers fit so well in my hand and never slip. Tweezing my eyebrows has never been easier or faster. I am not a fan of most Avon products but I AM a fan of Avon Ergonomic Tweezers. I now have a couple of pairs and they can be used for all purpose things as well. Splinters don't stand a chance. However, I keep my "grooming" pair out of reach from everyone for hygiene reasons.

My Viewpoint

The usual price for the Avon Ergonomic Tweezers is $5.00 which is a good price for this quality of tweezer. However, you can often get them for under $1.00 or even free with a purchase. They work amazing well and simply. I give them 5 stars. They are the best tweezers I have used and they will last forever!

They went off sale but they will be back around for 99 cents. I think they're $5.00 now, still a good price but not as good as 99 cents!

Ha. I don't think I am an expert but I was impressed with these and I am NOT an Avon fan. I usually am disappointed with their stuff. I am sure there are others that work as well bit for the 99 cents I paid (or even the full price), I can't imagine any better.

I know! I wish it was purple. That color is just ick.

These look interesting. Why does it seem that surgical tools always have a teal color? Hmm...

I've intended to buy these an managed to let the price go up in the last few weeks. All I needed to get me going was your first paragraph. You're the expert! Thanks.

So Freud was wrong when he said "Sometimes a pair of tweezers is just a pair of tweezers...."? Great review.

MRSverret wrote on Sep 21, 2009 at 10:42PM

i didn't think there was a difference either. i might have to try these. my tweezers can aggravate me with the thin hairs or ones that are just coming out. thanks.
