I am always trying to find a product that will delay the signs of aging on my face. I refuse to age gracefully.  I am going to fight it every step of the way.  Avon was advertising the "first-ever dual eye treatment" that would give an instant lift.  The product was Avon Anew Clinical Eye Lift.  Hmm, interesting concept.  Of course I had to try it and for $28, I was expecting it to work!

Manufacturer Claims:

  • Upper Eye Gel: Dimensional-Lift Technology. Formulated to strengthen from the inside out by boosting collagen and elastin production. Skin is lifted and tightened to help visibly diminish sagging and drooping.
  • Under Eye Cream: Derma-Refine Technology. Formulated to accelerate cellular metabolism. Puffiness, dark circles and crepiness are visibly reduced.
  • Dermatologist-tested. Hypo-allergenic.
  • Each, .33 fl. oz.; .66 total fl. oz

My Experience

About a month ago when I first started using this dual eye gel/cream, I noticed that they had an unpleasant scent.  I realize that this eye lift cream is not a perfume but I still don't want a medicine scent on my face.  I went with it though and continued the regimen day and night like the directions instructed.  I would apply a small amount of gel to my eyelid and a small amount of cream underneath my eye and to the top of my cheekbones twice a day. Anew claims that this product works instantly and you should see a difference right away.  I didn't see a difference but I continued on and by the second week, I developed small pimples on the inside corners of my eyelid.  I have never gotten a pimple in that area before I started this product.  I thought maybe I was using too much so I reduced the amount.  By four weeks, underneath my eyes felt softer but I didn't really see much difference in the appearance.  I was still getting pimples so I discontinued using the product.  Maybe I just have sensitive skin and didn't have enough dark circles or puffiness to see any dramatic results.

My Final Viewpoint

I realize that results vary depending on the person and the symptoms that they are suffering but Avon Anew Clinical Eye Lift is not a product that worked for me.  Because of that reason, I can't recommend it.  I give it a 3 star rating because it worked like an average eye cream under my eyes.

Thank Goodness for someone who recognizes that if you don't have a lot to target, then you don't see many results. I appluad a well written review. And Yes, if you use too much of the product and it gets into your hair folicles and tear duct area, you are bound to create a "clog" and have pimples surface. You only need a very little bit of this product. The instant results usually pertain to the dark circles becoming a little lighter and the eye area to feel firmer and less puffy. If you have questions about skin care in terms of AVON, or in general, please visit my web address and use the "contact me" link. I'd be glad to give you a free skin care consultation. www.youravon.com/khoughton

I hated it. It wasn't a good hydrating cream and the gel was gross. If you want the best ever, use Lancome Progres or Wei East White Lotus eye cream. Heaven I tell ya, heaven. Philosophy eye cream is also pretty good. But Avon's? Nah. I never found a really great Avon skin care product.
