Avon Anew Alternative Intensive Age Treatment Day SPF 25 Review

Since moving into a new decade of my life, I'm starting to treat my skin a little better so I don't end up with premature wrinkles and age spots later on.  Avon Anew Alternative Intensive Age Treatment Day SPF 25 combines tetrapeptides and various Eastern medicinal herbs to fight saggy skin and visible aging signs.  The 1.7 Fl oz bottle typically sells for $32.00, although sometimes sales or combination deals will be offered.  The lotion is a cream-colored, fairly thick moisturizer that should be applied daily for the best results, according to Avon. 

What I love about it: One thing I liked about using Avon Anew Alternative Intensive Age Treatment Day SPF 25 is the way it feels.  When applying it, it smoothes on beautifully, absorbs fairly quickly, and does not leave my skin feeling greasy at all.  Immediately after applying, I could feel the lotion working and my makeup blended on pretty well over top of the lotion, although it did seem just a little cakey.  Only a few days' into using the product, I noticed a change in my skin's appearance.  It looked more evenly-toned and healthier.  I don't have any age spots yet to get rid of, but overall, I just glowed! 

What I don't like about it:  First off, it's expensive!  It's probably worth it, but I'll wait until my NEXT decade arrives before I start investing that kind of money in fighting the inevitable.  My biggest beef with Avon Anew Alternative intensive Age Treatment Day SPF 25, though?  The smell!  It grossed me out every single time I used the lotion!  It's a sickly sweet scent, and I just could not stomach using the moisturizer without covering it with another product to combat the smell.  Such a disappointment for a great product!

Overall, this is a wonderful lotion.  It does what is promises, and I would definitely invest in it if I needed more repair at this stage in life.  I'm just hoping Avon changes the formula to improve the scent before I hit 40!
