Avis Review

I recently had the misfortune of renting an automobile from Avis at Sanford Airport Florida. I arrived a day early and secured the only car available, an SUV for 1 day as I had a mid sized car reserved thru them( Avis)for the next 6 days. I was told that if I returned the next day I could secure my reserved midsize and would only incurr the upsized SUV rate for the 1 day. After driving 1.5 hours back to the airport the next day I was told by the counter manager that there wasn't any midsize available and I could wait until one came in or I could keep ther SUV for the entire 6 days and not be charged for the upgraded SUV rate. Well after going around in circles with their uninterested and uncaring customer service they are reneiging on their offer and charging me an additional $64.00. Please beware of their "Bait and Switch" tactics as they originally told me that I was being charged this as a cleaning fee. The car was returned spotless! I am not done dealing with Avis but I can assure you that I will "try harder" to never do business with them again!
