As a breastfeeding mom who works part-time I found pumping milk a challenge.  The Avent Isis manual pump met all my needs for pumping & compared to some electric pumps I used worked just as well or better.  I was easily able to pump 6-8 oz of milk in each pumping session.  The Isis has these little cushions on the pump which simulate BF & help letdown to occur quickly.  I had a Gerber electric pump which I spent more $$$ on but the Isis really helped me out a lot.  I would not recomend it for someone who has to pump more than 1-2x a day but it is a wonderful pump for a mom who needs to pump...

I actually preferred the Avent ISIS manual pump to my Medela double electric pump in style. It wasn't quite as efficient since I could only pump one side at a time, but I found my amounts were higher when using the Avent. It was very convenient that I could pump into the same bottles I used for storage and feeding.
