The avent manual breast pump (Avent Isis) saved me! I used the medela electrical pump for a month when I went back to work, and I had to apologise to my colleague next to my work cubicle for the noise everytime I pumped. It sounded like an aeroplane taking off.

review »All but one person told me that I had to get an electric pump, which would have put me out several hundred dollars. The only person I chose to listen to is a mother of four and used the same pump I chose. I opted for the Avent manual breast pump, and it was a great choice for me. review »It took me a 30 minutes to express one ounce with the Avent manual breast pump. I could have done better expressing with my own hands. The suction was very weak, and it was difficult to hold and pump at the same time. I would suggest spending a little extra money on a pump with power. Manual is not the way to go.
